A wedding inside Disneyland Paris. A wedding inside Warner Bros. Abu Dhabi. These aren't venues most planners get asked about, let alone book - but for Rahul Kumar, CEO of Vivaah Celebrations, they're two of the projects he points to first when asked what's stayed with him most.
Headquartered in Dubai and working across 23 countries, from the Gulf to Europe to Southeast Asia, Vivaah Celebrations has spent a decade building a reputation on exactly that kind of willingness to attempt what hasn't been done before.
Asked which wedding has stayed with him most, Rahul doesn't point to the biggest or most expensive one.
he says. "However, the celebrations that stay with me the most are the ones where we've had the opportunity to create history, like planning weddings at iconic theme parks, including Disneyland Paris and Warner Bros. Abu Dhabi."
What made those projects different wasn't scale - it was the absence of a playbook. "These projects challenged us to think differently, work within extraordinary venues, and create experiences that had never been done before. They continue to inspire us to push creative boundaries while ensuring every celebration remains deeply personal to the couple."
"Vivaah Celebrations is headquartered in Dubai, UAE, and specializes in luxury destination weddings across the globe. While the Middle East is our home market, we plan and execute celebrations internationally."
That reach, in practice, spans a striking amount of territory. "Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, Italy, France, Greece, Austria, Poland, Georgia, Bali, Zanzibar, Thailand, and India. We have successfully planned weddings across 23 countries and continue to expand our global footprint."
Worldwide availability, for Vivaah Celebrations, isn't a caveat - it's the default. "Yes," Rahul says simply. "We proudly plan and manage luxury weddings worldwide."
Vivaah Celebrations deliberately caps the number of weddings it takes on each year.
"We intentionally take on a limited number of weddings each year to ensure every client receives our complete attention," Rahul explains. "On average, we manage 12-15 luxury weddings and celebrations annually."
The process behind each one follows a set arc. "Our process begins with understanding our clients' vision, personalities, and priorities," he says. "We then identify venues, develop creative concepts, establish budgets, manage every vendor, manage design and production, and coordinate every detail from the initial consultation until the final farewell."
Destination weddings come with their own category of problems, and Rahul's answer to them is preparation rather than improvisation. "Every destination presents unique logistical challenges, from weather and international regulations to cultural traditions and last-minute changes," he reflects. "The key is preparation. We always have contingency plans in place, allowing us to solve challenges before our clients even become aware of them."
The timeline itself is built to absorb that unpredictability.
"We create a customized wedding timeline for every couple, which serves as the roadmap to their entire celebration. It outlines every milestone from vendor, venues and guest arrivals to ceremonies, entertainment, and the smallest behind-the-scenes details. A well-structured timeline ensures everything is planned, everyone is aligned, minimizes stress, and allows the couple to simply enjoy their wedding while our team manages every moving part."
Vivaah Celebrations doesn't work from a fixed vendor list. "We have an extensive network of trusted venues and world-class partners across the globe, including photographers, filmmakers, florists, entertainment specialists, production companies, and hospitality providers," Rahul explains.
Ask for favorite venues, though, and a specific list comes out quickly: Palazzo Versace, Emirates Palace, Mandarin Oriental in Abu Dhabi, Armani Hotel Dubai, Raffles The Palm Dubai, Disneyland Paris, a handful of unique castles across Europe, Borgo Egnazia in Italy, and Warner Bros. Abu Dhabi.
"We love venues that combine exceptional hospitality, distinctive architecture, and the flexibility to create truly bespoke celebrations," says Rahul.
Rahul's advice to couples currently planning a wedding is blunt about one thing in particular.
"My biggest advice is this: don't choose your wedding planner based on who is the cheapest. Just as you wouldn't choose a doctor or a lawyer based solely on price, you shouldn't choose the person responsible for one of the biggest days of your life that way either. An experienced planner protects your budget, negotiates the right contracts, avoids costly mistakes, manages timelines, and solves problems before they reach you. In the end, a cheaper planner can often cost you far more than you expected. Your wedding deserves experience, not experiments."
That same resistance to shortcuts extends to how he thinks about the industry as a whole. "The wedding industry is constantly evolving, and so should we," he reflects.
