"I was bullied for my dyslexia," Lauren recalls, her voice carrying the weight of past struggles. But when she began middle school in a new town, Lauren found an outlet in beauty. It was in those formative years that she discovered her true calling, admiring her mother's meticulous application of makeup each morning. "The only books I would attempt to read were books about makeup," she confesses, her eyes sparkling with the memory.

At just 16 years old, Lauren embarked on a journey that would shape her destiny. When I stared high school I heard about a half day program that allowed me to leave high school early and attend cosmetology half day. I begged my parents to allow me to go," she says, her determination palpable.

It was a leap of faith that would pay dividends, as she recalls the moment that solidified her path: "I completely fell in love with the beauty industry after working on my first paying client, she started crying when I finished her makeup at the first salon I just started working at. At first I was absolutely mortified because I was not expecting her to cry when she looked in the mirror, but then she turned to me and said she had never felt more beautiful in her life. From that moment on I dedicated my self to not only empowering my self though makeup but also being able to give others that same confidence."

Lauren's signature style is a harmonious blend of soft glamour and timeless sophistication, a delicate balance that elevates the unique beauty of each client. "I focus on bringing forward my clients, best features, and creating symmetry and balance," she explains, her voice laced with a calm assurance. "Studies show as humans we view symmetry as beauty."

With mathematical precision, Lauren contours and highlights, sculpting faces with a mastery that defies convention. "I use math medical methods as well as clients opinions to formulate the perfect look for my clients," she states, her commitment to personalization evident. Every stroke, every shade, is meticulously chosen to complement each client's individual skin tone, face shape, and desired aesthetic.

"My signature look typically consist of winged eyeliner, smoked out outer corner and crease, with a brighter lid accompanied by a wispy lash that I personally customize to their eyes shape that will not overpower or drag down their eye," she describes, her hands mimicking the delicate movements. "My clients faces are contoured and highlighted to create symmetry, based on their face shape and bone structure. Almost every client I have has a favorite side of their face and my goal is to replicate that on the other side to make them feel extremely confident when taking photos, knowing that they will never have a bad angle."

Lauren's vision extends beyond her own artistry, as she has carefully curated a team of exceptional makeup artists and hair stylists at D'Amelio Cosmetics. "D’Amelio Cosmetics team is one of the most sought after bridal & celebrity hair and makeup teams on the east coast. Consisting of over 30 of the top artists and stylists in the tri-state area (and we are expanding our team across the country)," she states with pride. "My team is not only extremely talented but they are also professional, punctual, kind and will go above and beyond."

With a commitment to continuous education, Lauren ensures her team remains at the forefront of the industry. "They are trained monthly by me and other educators from around the country to always bring our clients the best experience possible," she affirms, her dedication to excellence unwavering.
