Wedding photography in India stands out as a unique genre. The sheer scale of the process - with its many days, ceremonies, outfits, and emotions - requires the stamina and flexibility that only true professionals possess. At Wezoree, we’ve carefully selected photographers who have mastered this genre and whose work remains just as thoughtful on the third day as it is on the first. Here are the fifteen masters who made our list.

House On The Clouds

An engineering background and a life in the US were not an obvious path to wedding photography. But curiosity led to a camera, experimentation followed, and everything shifted when a close friend asked for help photographing his wedding back in India. That experience reframed what a wedding could be: not a checklist of moments, but a layered, emotional narrative about people, relationships, and the quiet dynamics within families. House on the Clouds began in 2016, inspired by this perspective. Nearly fifteen years later, their approach still focuses on observing rather than putting on a show.

They keep things natural and unobtrusive, watching how people move, pause, and connect during celebrations, and take a simple approach to post-processing, making only minor adjustments to color, lighting, and contrast to ensure their photos look natural and harmonious. Their work takes them all over India and to other countries. Europe is their favorite destination thanks to its unique light, beautiful architecture, and the deep sense of history that permeates every corner. "A photograph has the ability to hold a moment in a way that very few things can - years later, when someone looks back at it, it can bring back the feeling of that exact moment," the founder says.

Weddingrams

The company began with a belief the founder has held for fourteen years: some of the greatest love stories are told without saying a word. Commercial and portrait photography were rewarding, but photographing the first Indian wedding changed everything. The scale, the cultural richness, and the real human connections happening everywhere made it clear what the true calling was. Weddingrams’ style is editorial and documentary in equal measure, with light and airy post-processing that stays close to what the moment actually looked like. "I am free when I hold a camera, capturing people on their happiest days, where words are not needed," the founder says.

They strongly recommend that every couple have a pre-wedding photo shoot, not just for the photos themselves, but also because it helps everyone relax, overcome their shyness in front of the camera, and find a comfortable rhythm together. By the wedding day, the photographer becomes more than just a contractor to the couple; they become someone they can trust. They work with couples from all over the world, but Europe is especially dear to them.

Naman Verma

Naman Verma grew up in a family that captured every stage of life in photographs, which helped him notice special moments even before he became a professional photographer. Over time, his natural instinct combined with a passion for drawing and visual art. Over the course of 10 years, it is precisely this combination that has shaped his storytelling style, in which moments from real life are combined with sophisticated editorial design.

"What I love most is the privilege of witnessing and preserving deeply meaningful moments in people's lives," he says. Based in India but regularly traveling for destination weddings, he is drawn to locations that combine beautiful landscapes with rich culture - Italy, Rajasthan, and coastal destinations among his favorites. His post-processing stays close to the moment: careful work with color, contrast, and light to maintain a cinematic quality without pulling the image away from how it actually felt. Every package is custom-built around the couple's schedule, location, and vision.

FOURFOLD PICTURES

For the past fourteen years, Gaurav and Priyanka Shukla have poured their passion for emotions, human connection, and storytelling into FOURFOLD PICTURES. They design every package to match each couple’s unique vision, always keeping an editorial style that makes every wedding feel personal. They work with couples around the world, and Europe is especially close to their hearts.

Their style is rooted in editorial photography, blending fashion-inspired portraits, clean compositions, beautiful lighting, and honest storytelling to create images that feel cinematic and refined. They use their own signature post-processing presets, carefully adjusted to keep skin tones and colors looking natural. "Experiencing human connection in its purest form - witnessing emotion, love, culture, and celebration unfold so naturally" is what keeps them doing this after fourteen years. Their approach with every couple is personal and collaborative, guiding them beyond just photography and building the kind of comfort that lets genuine moments surface.

Cupcake Productions

Destination weddings are a big part of what Jayant and Shruti offer at Cupcake Productions. They have planned events everywhere, from Rajasthan’s palaces to Italy’s coast and small gatherings in London. Italy is a favorite because of its classic architecture and beautiful scenery. Thirteen years into building their luxury wedding photography and filmmaking studio, their work sits at the intersection of emotion, fashion, culture, and storytelling.

Their style is cinematic and editorial, with post-processing that enhances mood and color without pulling images away from authenticity. Before every wedding, they get to know the couple’s personality, vision, and comfort level. They focus on communication and working together, making sure everything that comes next feels personal and easy. "Being able to preserve emotions and create memories that people can relive for generations is the most rewarding part," they say.

The Photo Store

The Photo Store’s story began in 2006, when the founder worked with his father in a small studio and learned portrait photography from the ground up. As noted, during his studies, photography remained a central part of his life. In 2017, he officially launched The Photo Store, aiming to go beyond traditional styles and highlight candid, creative storytelling. Although the pandemic slowed things down for a while, it also helped the work reach people around the world.

"For me, it's the combination of human connection and creation - meeting new people and crafting something beautiful that they will carry with them for a lifetime," he says. The approach before every wedding follows a structured three-call process: the first focused entirely on the couple's personalities and emotional priorities, the second on the full schedule, rituals, and cultural nuances, and the third on translating everything into a clear visual plan. Lake Como is one of his favorite places because of its timeless, cinematic feel. Still, as he says, what really matters are the people and the story, not just the setting.

Oaks wedding

Oaks wedding started in a small town in Kerala and over twelve years has grown into a studio working across the globe, from the USA and Spain to Portugal and Austria. That journey, as the team describes it, has been built one wedding at a time.

Their style is jovial and editorial. "Capturing love every day" is what they enjoy most about the work. Before every wedding, they meet with the couple to get to know them better. Then, together with their team, they brainstorm ideas to develop a creative plan that’s perfect for that specific couple. Their favorite place to work is Madeira, Spain.

Sunny Dhiman

"Watching their reactions and seeing the smiles on their faces is a feeling that never gets old," says Sunny Dhiman, describing the moment clients see their photographs for the first time. He has spent twenty years in photography, starting in fashion, which helped him develop a sharp eye for composition, lighting, and creating strong, intentional visuals. You can still see that background in all of his work.

His style combines editorial elegance with documentary storytelling. This creates images that are both polished and full of real moments. He begins every project by getting to know each couple, their story, personalities, and vision, then brings his own creative eye to create photos that feel true to them and are beautifully refined.

Tuhina Chopra Photoworks

For nearly twelve years, Tuhina Chopra has worked as a photographer, shaping Tuhina Chopra Photoworks with one guiding idea: photos should capture not just how a moment looks, but also how it feels.

"What I enjoy most about being a photographer is the privilege of preserving more than a moment - it is preserving a feeling," she says. Her style is editorial, emotionally driven, and rooted in fine art portraiture, with genuine moments captured as they unfold alongside elegant, effortless portraits. She carefully reviews and edits every photo, ensuring that the colors, exposure, and mood are perfect. Building trust and establishing effective communication are key elements of her work, so she takes the time to get to know each couple and understand their vision well before the wedding. She has photographed weddings throughout India and South Asia. Currently, Udaipur is her favorite destination thanks to its timeless beauty and romantic atmosphere. She is now eagerly looking forward to the opportunity to photograph weddings in Europe.

Gautam Khullar

"Being able to notice things that people usually don't stop by. Giving a moment meaning with the perspective," says Gautam Khullar, who started as a street photographer before wedding photography became part of his lifestyle journey. Thirteen years in, work spanning 15 countries, and the approach remains candid, raw, and unintrusive.

Before every wedding, Gautam takes time to understand exactly what the couple values in their photographs and how they want the day documented, then delivers those moments with his own distinct touch. He keeps post-processing to a minimum, letting each photo keep its natural warmth and freshness so it still feels alive even years later. When someone asks about his favorite place, he says it's wherever he feels loved. But Europe comes in as a close second.

Eshantraju

Eshant’s journey began with curiosity. Five years on, that curiosity has grown into a unique approach at Eshantraju. The work blends documentary storytelling with editorial style, creating images that balance rawness and polish. He prefers moody, dark, and cinematic tones, choosing galleries that feel atmospheric instead of polished.

"I've always been fascinated by people and their stories," he says, and it shows in how personally he approaches each celebration. Before any wedding, he wants to know everything upfront: the decor mood board, the outfits, the overall energy of the day. That preparation is how he steps into someone else's story with intention rather than just observation. Meeting new people and discovering new cultures is what keeps his work alive. Of all the cities where he has worked, Seville holds a special place in his heart.

The Ombre

From a young age, Harsheen Jammu had been receiving awards for his paintings. His friends joked that his mother must have been eating paint while she was pregnant with him. Art came naturally to him, so he never had to learn it. Today, as Creative Director of The Ombre, he leads a collective of directors who embody the studio's name: different hues bound by a single artistic ethic.

He often chooses complex color palettes that many photographers avoid, using them to create images with emotional depth and layers inspired by visual art, design, and typography. After fourteen years in wedding photography, his style feels cinematic but also highly observant. He spends about 20% of his time giving direction and 80% simply watching and waiting for the right moment. "A wedding brings together fashion, art, architecture, food, design, and music," he says. "I've always had a deep curiosity for many of these worlds, and wedding photography allows me to engage with all of them at once."

The Blemished Tales

Nandini created The Blemished Tales to focus on the quiet moments that happen between big celebrations, the ones people often miss. For nine years, she has photographed weddings in many cultures and places, always seeking real emotion and human connection rather than spectacle. "I feel incredibly fortunate to witness people at some of the most meaningful and emotional times in their lives and turn those memories into something tangible that can be cherished for generations," she says. Her style sits at the intersection of documentary storytelling and editorial vision, and her editing follows the same restrained philosophy: natural tones, subtle refinement, nothing that pulls the image away from what it actually felt like.

Communication is at the heart of every stage, from the first conversation to the wedding day itself. Couples are encouraged to share what matters most to them so that this experience truly becomes unique for them. Her favorite European destinations are Rome, Lisbon, and Tuscany, each with its own unique charm, perfect for creating cinematic, deeply personal memories.

Shutterink

Shutterink was founded in 2013 by Sandeep Mohan and Nitin Dangwal, both lead candid photographers whose work has earned recognition on a global scale. Their approach is strictly non-intrusive, focused on real moments, authentic emotions, and the natural energy unfolding around them.

The founders say that being fathers and husbands has taught them patience and empathy, which helps create a relaxed atmosphere that couples appreciate. Many clients who don’t like posing feel especially comfortable with them. They focus on capturing real moments and family connections, never forcing poses. Based in Delhi, they travel for destination weddings and offer both photography and cinematography.

Vivek Kashyap

Vivek Kashyap, a lead photographer and founding member of House On The Clouds, was named one of the Top 3 Indian Wedding Photographers of 2018 by Fearless. He began his career in conceptual photography before turning his attention to weddings. Eight years later, his style remains distinctive and consistent. He believes in simplicity, using natural light, and creating portraits that show couples as they truly are.

He says he’s a fun and cheerful person who connects with people through Netflix shows, Formula 1, and pizza just as much as through his camera. This laid-back demeanor characterizes his work. For Vivek, creating photographs that stand the test of time means focusing on the couple rather than imposing a specific style.
