Teri was the best photographer we could have asked for! She captured every part of our wedding day. We loved candid shots of the attendants getting ready, the ceremony, and our guests drinking and dancing at the rehearsal. The portraits of our family and wedding party never felt awkward or posed. The extra touches she captured of the decoration, food, venue, and signage really completed the photo set. She also helped us choose our first look location and drove to a nearby local landmark for our post-ceremony sunset hour photos. My wife and I feel so fortunate to have had Teri be our wedding photographer! Since our ceremony was in Joshua Tree, it was important for us to get shots that incorporated the landscape as much as possible. Teri went out of her way to scope out spots that would make for good backdrops and was excellent at giving us direction and making us feel comfortable when it came time to take the photos. She is an absolute treasure - from our first time getting together for an engagement shoot, to receiving our pics just a few weeks after the wedding, we could not have imagined a better wedding photographer. Teri is a true professional. She is responsive, articulate and prompt, and always has a clear plan for what she wants to do. The impressive thing was that even though she had such a clear vision, everything felt like a team decision, probably because of her kindness and joyful approach to her work. Teri is an artist. We knew Teri's pictures were beautiful from her website, but what we could never expect was her ability to capture the feeling of a moment and the emotional impact of a place. Looking back at our wedding pictures, we can feel what is was like to be in each moment at our venue - this is the priceless quality that you want when you get your wedding photos, and Teri nails it. Teri is a true friend. Have I mentioned how nice she is? Working with Teri was like having a close friend at your wedding taking pictures - its actually difficult to imagine our day without her. Planning a wedding is stressful as it is, and making the decision on who to trust and hire can be especially overwhelming because the photos will be your main keepsakes. We reviewed many photographers and I am so grateful we found and chose Teri! From the first call, she was calm, encouraging, and as excited as we were (even though she works in the wedding industry full time!). We have all of the lovely posed photos, and so much more- photos capturing the spontaneous and fleeting moments like the father-daughter dance, mother-son dance, and so many exchanges with our loved ones throughout the day. If you’re on the fence about scheduling an engagement session, I’d also like to recommend it. We decided to book one at the last minute about one month before our wedding because I felt anxious about looking stiff and unrelaxed in photos, and it was a huge help to practice with Teri! During my wedding day I also had a special moment with Teri when I joked about her capturing more on my “good side”, and she immediately squashed the negative self talk and helped me feel beautiful. It was worth every penny to have such a kind, artistic, and talented person responsible for capturing these once in a life time memories.
