Top 15 I was raised in southern France and came to Chicago for college in 2004. My friends couldn’t pronounce my last name (Tab-a-you), so they nicknamed me Tim Tab. I founded Tim Tab Studios in my dorm room in 2007 after being asked to shoot a friend’s wedding and have since loved every day getting to do this job. In 2011, my wife Bethany joined me full-time as my administrative queen. The experience of working together has been completely wonderful for us. We form a well-balanced team with me as the lead shooter and Bethany as my second photographer at many of my weddings. The seasonal aspect of the wedding industry offers us the opportunity to travel back to France regularly to keep us connected to my roots, and teach our three daughters to love France. We can’t imagine having a career more suited to our lives. It’s been over 400 weddings now, and I still enter each wedding day with a deep gratitude and empathy for the emotion and magnitude of our clients’ wedding days.
