State Savings Bank, Detroit

The State Savings Bank, built in 1900, was designated a Michigan State Historic Site and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.    Designed by internationally renowned architects McKim, Mead & White, this neoclassical structure is in the Beaux Arts-style. It features a white marble interior with carved Roman arched colonnades and bronze grillwork.    With over 14,000 square feet of flexible floor space, this historic venue provides a stunning backdrop for both corporate and social events. The front section of the space can accommodate up to 130 guests for a seated event and up to 250 guests for a strolling reception. The back section of the space can accommodate up to 400 guests for a seated event and up to 600 guests for a strolling reception.    The original bank vault centers the room and the restored gilded ceiling provides a stunning architectural element to any event.
