Simply put, Taylor is the best.
Let me preface this review by stating that having my picture taken is amongst my very least favorite things to do. I hate being the “center of attention,” and almost inevitably, I won’t like the way I look. Now, Taylor created an environment that even I, the self-proclaimed grinch of photography, was comfortable in. In fact, comfortable is an understatement. My wife and I had a blast throughout the whole process.
How or what was said process, you are likely wondering at this point. Well, we spoke to Taylor over the phone initially, so we could get to know each other and discuss what we wanted out of our photo-shoots. Essentially, she asked us non-invasive questions about our relationship, and what type of photographs we like the most (I.e., candids, nature shots, or whatever). Oh yeah, I should have mentioned by now: photo-shoots, plural. Our engagement was quite short, and Taylor had no issues working with our already busy schedules to squeeze an engagement shoot in - with incredibly short notice.
The engagement shoot itself was wonderful. We met up at Congaree National Park, and in terms of experience, the day felt like a hike and picnic with an old friend. The photography almost felt secondary, which was good for me. We walked around, watched the birds, played catch with the football, had great conversation, and pretty much just enjoyed ourselves. Honestly, when the photographs were edited and ready to go a few weeks later, I almost thought to myself, “Oh yeah… we DID do a photo-shoot a few weeks ago…”
The wedding was more of the same. Taylor’s professionalism on the day aided in making sure everything went exactly the way we wanted it to. Honestly, the “first-look” was perhaps my favorite thing about the whole day. Wedding guests are great, but it was truly lovely to have those moments with just my wife and I (well, and Taylor, but you get the point; she was so professional it was like she wasn’t even there). And then, conversely, when it was time to party, she fit so well into the social dynamic of the party that it was like having an extra invited guest. Ultimately, our experience with Taylor was so great, I would recommend her to anybody - particularly to those of you with camera shy fiancées or husbands…
Holy moly. I didn’t even mention the photos themselves. They’re incredible. We will cherish them forever and feel that they perfectly encapsulate our wonderful day - and our marriage and relationship more broadly. The diversity of shot is tremendous; some posed, some candid, far-away, close-up, etc., etc. Perhaps my favorite thing about the photos themselves, in addition to capturing our love, is the presence and use of the nature and landscape. The natural world has been a constant theme of our love and time together, and I’m so glad we got so many beautiful shots.
Again, our experience all around was incredibly positive, and we’d both recommend Taylor to anybody.

Taylor totally exceeded our expectations capturing our intimate wedding ceremony and reception. Having never worked with a professional photographer before, we had an initial phone call with Taylor to go over what exactly we were looking for, expectations, etc. I could immediately tell she was kind, professional and had a very intuitive nature about her. It was a perfect fit. Taylor checked in on us from time to time and prior to our special day were sent a questionnaire to learn a little bit more about our style and vision. Our actual wedding day was a dream and was captured so beautifully and authentically. Taylor made us feel so comfortable and her intuitive nature came into play when capturing photos of us. We are over the moon happy with how the photos came out! For anyone looking to hire a photographer in the area, we would recommend Taylor 10/10 times! It was worth the investment, and you may even gain a sweet friend out of it :)
Taylor is such a delight. Super laid back and fun but always remaining the consummate professional. She has quite the eye for detail and composition and I’m a huge fan or her work and editing style. Very much an Annie Leibovitz, “Vanity Fair” vibe, so you can’t go wrong if you’re looking for more editorial style photographs and less stuffy/traditional. They’re magazine worthy! Book her!
Taylor clearly knows what she’s doing behind the camera! Her photos are beautiful and very high quality. She is kind and dependable! Highly recommend.
Taylor was wonderful to shoot with!
Taylor knows how to draw you out of your shell and make you comfortable to show your personality. She is a true professional and knows how to work within natural settings to create beautiful portraits. I can't recommend her enough!!
Highly recommend TLC for all of your photography needs!
