We had the great pleasure of working with Xiaoqi Li and Jess on our wedding day and CANNOT recommend them enough! Booking Process: When I first did my discovery call with her, you could tell she had a passion for what she did, and it was more than just a job to her. I immediately felt at ease with her and knew that there was no other choice for our photography. Xiaoqi has several different packages available. We went with the Gelato Package with Jess and Xiaoqi as our photographers. Because we had gotten engagement photos done already, we instead added an extra hour of coverage for the wedding day. Looking back, I would have loved to have a separate session getting to know them both a little better in person, but we had enough planning calls that I felt comfortable day of! Xiaoqi had a couple planning calls through the process and several timeline questionnaires. This was SO helpful in guiding conversation between my husband and I about what we wanted during the day. Xiaoqi was incredibly respectful of all of our decisions about what we did or did not want. After getting an idea of our vision, she created a thorough timeline that we used for all of our other vendors. It was great to have someone else as detail oriented as I was going into the process. I felt incredibly confident with her. On the day of, it had rained that morning and some of our original plans had to be scrapped. They were quick to offer suggestions of where we could still get great shots. They both had a keen eye for detail and framing to get amazing photos. Even better, they kept everyone laughing and at ease, but still herded our very bombastic group the entire time. In between the formal, posed photos, they were capturing quiet, intimate moments others may pass by. I left feeling like every moment was captured! I would argue Xiaoqi has one of the fastest turnaround times for sneak peek photos in the business! As an anxious bride who wants to have photos to share and look back on, she truly delivered! On the dot, 8 weeks later, our full wedding album was ready. Now, what I will say about Xiaoqi, is that she does a reveal celebration. Instead of just getting a link to look at the photos (which I would naturally do even if it's in the middle of a work day), we got a chance to sit down together and look back through all the highlights of the wedding day. We laughed, cried, and laughed again watching it back. For something as intimate and personal as a wedding, I wouldn't want anything less when getting back the photos of the day. We had over 900 photos back from the day, and while I am VERY good at finding everything I dislike about myself, I struggled to look at the things I hated when I was so busy looking at the emotions that Xiaoqi and Jess captured. And that's why I chose them to shoot our wedding. Because they capture what love looks like. They capture you and your family and friends in their most authentic, loveable moments. And I know that when I'm opening up our photo album 50 years from now, I'll still be transported back to exactly how I felt in that moment - so, so in love with my husband, and so happy to be surrounded by the people I love. So when you're looking at a photographer, I implore you - this is one area not to skimp on your budget. Because at the end of the day, this is how you'll remember your day. I wouldn't have trusted anyone else to capture those moments. So when I say, don't walk, run to hire Xiaoqi and Jess for your day, I mean it!

Working with Xiaoqi was the best decision we made for our wedding! She is knowledgeable and incredibly experienced, so professional, and just FUN to work with! The photos she captured of our day are breathtaking and so special, and we are so grateful for her work and talent. She worked so well with us and our wedding party, our family, and even our 5 and 3 year old nephews. Every photo she took tells such a beautiful story and it took us right back to every moment of our wedding day.

My husband and I are delighted with our experience working with Xiaoqi. After booking our venue we knew that the most important vendor to us would be our photographer since our wedding photos will be with us for the rest of our lives, and Xiaoqi was truly the best photographer that we could have worked with. We chose her because of her photojournalistic style - we wanted someone who could go above and beyond pretty portraits and who could deliver shots that reflected emotion and the small but special moments that made up the night. Her communication was excellent and she was so patient and flexible accommodating us even when we were probably not the easiest clients to work with because of our busy work schedules and some last-minute planning. Hire Xiaoqi - you won't regret it!

I just can't say enough good things about Xiaoqi. From the very beginning, I knew she would be a special photographer when she responded to our initial inquiry with a personalized video. She was on the pricier side of our options, but we were so impressed by our work and recognized the photos are going to be a source of happiness for years. I am so glad we went with her because she was so communicative and really took time to get to know us as a couple. During the wedding weekend, she really helped assuage our anxieties especially as we faced a nightmare situation with members of my family infected by covid. The photos were absolutely gorgeous and everyone complimented them. Highly, highly recommend.

I can't say enough great things about our wedding photography experience with Xiaoqi. Not only is she an absolutely incredible photographer, her business acumen and level of customer service are second to none. She had regularly scheduled calls with us during the process, put together a timeline for the day of our wedding and sent regular thoughtful gifts (personalized cookies, gift card for a date night, etc). We were thoroughly impressed with Xiaoqi from the minute we interacted with her and she absolutely worked her butt off during our wedding - you'd see her running from place to place to make sure she got the perfect shot. She surprised us with a sneak peak of photos AT OUR VENUE the night of our wedding AND sent them to us via email so that we could share with family and friends. Thank you Xiaoqi for capturing our day and for providing us with such an amazing experience. We are so appreciative!

I cannot recommend Xiaoqi enough!! Xiaoqi is not only phenomenal photographer but also a complete joy to work with! She was extremely organized from day 1 and kept us on track with wedding planning...she really served almost as a "second wedding planner" in terms of helping us create our wedding timeline. She helped us feel at ease, which really translated into both our engagement and wedding photos coming out natural and unstaged. She really listened to our feedback on what particular moments or special people in our lives we would like captured. Her ability to capture candid moments of joy is incredible and will will cherish our photos for so many years to come. She was perfection from our first zoom meeting to our final reveal session and album creation. If you are looking for an extremely talented, kind, creative and organized photographer then look no further!

Working with Xiaoqi was a delight! She asked incisive questions to understand what we were hoping for and listened intently in order to understand and realize our vision. We felt supported by her experience, professionalism, craft, and empathy, while still feeling like we had the space to have the experience we wanted. She captured our elopement in a way that felt truly genuine to us. She was also very game to work with us to include our rascally pup into our day. The process was fun and joyful, and the results were stunning!

WOW!! That is all we can say about Xiaoqi’s photography service!! We hired Xiaoqi to take the photos for our daughter’s wedding. Xiaoqi truly takes the time to get to know her clients. Her professionalism and artistic eye are both top-notch. She had preview photos from the wedding shoot that she set up on a laptop at the wedding reception, and everyone commented on how fabulous every photo looked! Some of our favorites were the black and white photos she took! Her organization of the photo shoot on the wedding day was clearly evident as Xiaoqi and her staff worked to get the best shot and capture every moment of the day without being obtrusive or disruptive. If you are able to book Xiaoqi as your wedding photographer, do it!! You will definitely not be disappointed. We will highly recommend Xiaoqi’s services to all who ask!
