Looking for a personable, professional, and passionate photographer who is experienced? Look no further! My husband and I had Marissa from Heyn as our wedding photographer this past June and we could not be happier with our pictures as well as the overall day spent with Marissa. During the planning process, Marissa was always there to help and really was great when coming up with a timeline for the day. She was easy to get along with and talk to. After talking to Marissa the first time, it felt like we had known each other already. She makes you feel super comfortable and like a friend. Marissa and her team have an amazing eye. Our pictures are stunning. We don’t know how we will ever choose which pictures to include in our album! Marissa’s work is timeless and romantic. If this is your style, Heyn is for you. If you pick the Heyn team for your wedding day, you will not regret your choice.

We were specifically looking for a "chic", "true to color" photographer, and Heyn Photography is exactly that. Our pictures came out BEAUTIFUL. Marissa is extremely personable and kind, and makes the entire photo process so much fun. Every phone call we've had leading up to our wedding day, we were on the phone chatting and by the end of the process, it felt like we were truly friends! I appreciate Marissa's honesty and how she truly wants the best for her clients. She will guide you in the right direction to make sure your day runs smoothly, and will do whatever she can to make sure your vision comes true. I also LOVE her assistants Kelly & Kelly who made our bridal party laugh and smile all day long. I cannot rave about this team enough! I know all of my newly engaged friends will be using them.
Marissa and the whole Heyn team are truly best in class talent. I knew from my initial phone call with Marissa that I wanted to hire her for our wedding this August as she is so thoughtful, detail oriented, incredibly engaging and SO talented. Marissa doubles as a wedding planner and the only reason our timeline and the whole day went as smoothly as it did is because of her meticulous planning and attention to detail. Our first interaction with Marissa during our engagement photos made us so comfortable with the whole process and it was a perfect test run for our big day. You don’t feel like the photos are a whole production and rather, she makes it such a fun experience and makes you and your future spouse so comfortable. For our bridal party photos, family photos and couple portraits, she made sure we got every shot we could have wanted (and then some)! I can’t say enough good things about this team. Hire them for your wedding - it will be one of your best decisions when it comes to wedding planning!! If you are looking for a photographer to capture each detail of your special day, look no further than Heyn Photography! From our first conversation over the phone, we could tell Marissa genuinely cares about each of her couples and takes pride in her work. I was drawn to Marissa’s work for the natural hues in her photos- I felt that they weren’t too light or too dark, they were just right! Our photos exceeded our expectations in every way. Marissa was extremely familiar with all of the places we wanted to take our photos. She gave us advice based on what ideas we had for pictures and we worked together to find the perfect photo locations. We ended up doing both our engagement and wedding photos in the same town (Asbury Park) since restrictions at Monmouth University didn’t allow for us to take photos there as we originally planned. Despite the photos being in the same town, Marissa shot in different locations throughout the town so that you couldn’t even tell we were in the same place! We have received so many compliments on our photos and she truly captured our day in the most perfect way! My only regret is that we can’t get married again and again to use her over and over!
Upon my first consultation with Marissa, I knew I did not only find my wedding photographer, but also a built-in planner, and more importantly, a friend. I mean, sort of inevitable with both of us being Brooklyn natives ... :) Marissa was integral to planning our wedding day timeline. She has years of experience in 'what could go wrong.' As a Type A person, I took all of her insight into account- and it paid off- we got all of the pictures we wanted, AND WE MADE OUR COCKTAIL HOUR! Not only is she super organized, but over the course of our 2 year engagement, she was easily reachable for questions and a quick chat. I do not think you can get this level of service when going to one of those big wedding photography companies. Lastly, her talent is unmatched. My husband and I do not consider ourselves to be the most 'photogenic' of couples- however, she and her team captured beautiful moments of our day- memories that will last us a lifetime. It was important to me for our photos to have a timeless look- and that is exactly her style. I look forward to Marissa photographing my sister's wedding next year.
