12 years I’m originally fr om Manchester in the UK, and now based in the south of Spain, wh ere I lead Open the Door Events, a creative event design studio producing immersive, multi-day weddings across Europe and beyond. I’ve been working in weddings and events for over a decade, but I didn’t arrive here through a clear plan. It evolved naturally. I had some experience working in events in London, but even before that, I was always finding reasons to host. From about 14, I was bringing people together, creating gatherings just because I loved the feeling of atmosphere and of people connecting. The first wedding I worked on was small, and I was only involved in certain elements like dessert tables and parts of the table design. But I went all in. I cared about every detail, even then. It pushed me creatively and opened the door to everything: florals, stationery, textiles, lighting… how layers come together to create a feeling. That curiosity only continued to grow.
