8 years We started Okra Films pretty simply, out of passion and a bit of a “why not, let’s give it a shot” attitude. Over time however, we realised how meaningful it is to capture these honest and heartfelt stories of love through weddings. We don’t come from a traditional videography background and everything we know has come from passion and experimentation. We learned by doing, by watching, and by constantly trying to get better and it’s been amazing to see our love for it resonate with couples who trust us to tell their stories.

Okra films is 100/100!! We chose Okra for our wedding day because we fell in love with their editing style, which was a great blend of spoken moments and music. And they truly delivered—when we watched our wedding video, it transported us right into the emotions of the day. It was such a gift to relive all the special moments.
Our videographer and main editor, Steph, was incredible to work with – she really knew how to pick the special moments and weave it all together to form a story! And the second videographer Marcus was so dedicated, he was lying on the floor at one point during the gatecrash to capture a really unique angle! And it really worked to make a super cool shot in the final video!
Steph is detailed, reliable, and with such a great personality that she instantly put us at ease in front of the camera. She captured the day so naturally that we felt completely comfortable just being ourselves.

Amazing work from this couple!! Soon and Steph work so well together from capturing the right moments to editing and selecting the perfect music track to give A+ vibes the video colours are so vibrant and the video flows seamlessly, watching them back made us cry and laugh so grateful for discovering them!

The morning highlights were very well done as it transitioned from comedic to touching. I received so much compliments from guests about the video with some even tearing up!
Soon and team has a really good eye and were able to capture a very classy footage even though it was at an old HDB void deck. He was also able to give good directions to our bridal party and us to ensure that he has what he needs for the video!
His good eye for artistic direction was complimented by various guests - some from advertising too so you know it’s legit!
Soon and team was also easy going and able to adapt to our (overrun) schedule and provide great suggestions. Also as seasoned professionals, they also worked well with our photographed! Would highly recommend them to brides/grooms-to-be!

We approached Okra Films in June last year when looking for a videography partner for our wedding celebration, and eventually engaged Okra Films (Soon & team) to work on a pre-wedding interview video and actual day videography works.
The experience was absolutely pleasant and smooth, as our main point-of-contact & videographer Soon was extremely easy to work with throughout the entire process.
During the pre-shoot stage, he provided fast responses to our queries and showed patience to understand our evolving concept & preferences.
On the shoot day, he quickly puts us at ease with his easy-going and jovial personality, and we opened up to the camera pretty soon with his guidance. It eventually felt like we were working with a friend rather than a vendor, which was a big plus as it allows real emotions to flow easily and naturally.
Soon & team returned with our pre-wedding interview video in a prompt and timely manner without us even having to follow up - A refreshing change that we very much appreciated as we were concurrently working with other vendors whom we had to chase repeatedly. The end result of video was also beyond our expectations and we were very pleased with the shoots selection, flow and delivery of the clip.
Soon was his usual top form on our wedding day and we received our wedding highlights earlier this week without prompts. We were once again impressed by the results and no edits were required at all from the original version.
