Doreen's work has been a part of my life for many years. Whenever she shows pictures of her weddings and inspirations, my heart leaps. So much style, taste, and special details. She has maintained this professionalism and eye for exceptional wedding concepts over all these years and continues to surpass herself. When I describe Doreen as a pillar of the German wedding industry, I mean the opposite of old-fashioned and outdated. Rather, she has pioneered many wedding trends. Standards that often seem obvious to today's couples originated in Doreen's years of work. It's no exaggeration to say that Doreen Winking Weddings has significantly shaped the way exclusive weddings are celebrated in Germany (and beyond). Doreen helped us to plan our perfect wedding weekend in Austria. And it’s not an exaggeration that of all decisions surrounding planning our wedding, choosing to work with Doreen was the best decision we made. From deciding on a budget to location to vendors, and even advice on how to deal with some unexpected challenges along the way, Doreen was always there for us. She has such a talent for understanding you as a person and as a pair, interpreting your vision, and delivering something better than you could even imagine.
Doreen, her team, and network of trusted vendors are absolutely professional and were all able to give us a beautiful wedding that was a reflection of us as individuals and as a couple. Most importantly, our big weekend was stress-free, because we could completely trust and rely on Doreen from start to finish.

Doreen planned our dream wedding in the Munich area (Gut Sonnenhausen). We live in the US and wanted a wedding weekend experience for our many international guests, with a Friday get together and our Saturday wedding day. From our first meeting with Doreen, we knew we were in good hands. My husband grew up in the Munich area and I'm American, so Doreen's excellent English was key for this event. She has planned weddings for other couples in the US, which gave us confidence that the distance (time and location) could work out. We mostly communicated via email, which Doreen kept very well organized. We had two trips to Germany for planning, once to visit locations and once to taste food and cake and do the styling trial. Doreen rearranged her travel plans to make sure she would be there with us. This meant so much to us, it made us know she valued us as clients.
Her reputation for being among, if not, the best in Germany is spot on. She is extremely professional and knowledgeable; cream of the crop. Planning our wedding from the US, we had a lot of questions and uncertainties. Doreen was very patient and responsive as she guided us through the planning process. She took care of each of our special requests with kindness and took good care of us on the wedding weekend itself. She managed every detail during planning and with her team the day of with a smile and calm demeanor. Doreen's recommendations for vendors (flowers, photographer, cake, location, stationary, styling, officiant, musicians, furniture, DJ) were all top notch, high quality, ensuring an elevated experience. Her relationships with these vendors play an important role in how they work together as a team. The quality for each part of our wedding was outstanding. Having planned a wedding in the US ourselves, we appreciate the amount of effort and skill that goes into every detail. Our wedding was Sept 2022 on the tail end of COVID restrictions, and Doreen navigated the challenges the wedding industry was going through with skill.
We could not have imagined how beautiful and perfect our wedding would turn out to be. It exceeded our expectations in every way. Her experience shows in the quality of the events she puts together. I can't imagine how anyone could be disappointed after working with Doreen. Even if we had a small doubt on a recommendation from her initially, we always ended up going with what she recommended, and we are so happy we did. Our guests agreed, an absolutely gorgeous wedding weekend! Doreen nailed it, we could not be happier with our dream wedding! It will forever be a warm memory in our hearts.

From day one, we knew we'd made the absolutely right decision with Doreen, and that she was a real asset to our wedding: everything was perfect from start to finish, and thanks to her, we didn't experience any of the "typical" wedding stress or bridezilla antics right up to the last day :-) The vendors she works with are highly professional, just like Doreen herself. Thanks to her, the wedding preparations were a breeze, and even though we got married abroad, everything went smoothly without any complications! Even with the vendors (some of whom were from Germany!). Simply a dream! She's also a wonderful person for any couple getting married! I would actually say we'd LOVE to do it again – but in this case, hopefully there won't be a second time :-)
