We planned to elope with another company in Queenstown, but our plans weren't working out as we had wanted them to. At the eleventh hour, we contacted the Lovers for help and knew we were in good hands.
Gypsy’s professionalism, responsiveness and attention to detail were combined with an authentic warmth and a genuinely personal rapport. By the time we got married we felt like old friends. Every detail was even better than we expected. Dawn’s photos were artistic and poetic, Emily’s videos captured our energy and style perfectly, and Gypsy’s flowers were beyond beautiful. What a team!
We didn’t want a cliche-ridden elopement where we felt squished into a box that suited the wedding planner, rather than being free to express our vision. The Lovers learned who we are as individuals and as a couple and created an elopement that suited us.
Being a Type A over-thinker, I didn’t want to worry about anything! Gypsy took care of each detail swiftly and confidently, and communicated so clearly and efficiently, that I felt relaxed and confident to simply sit back and enjoy the day (plus the weeks leading up to it).
We are SO GLAD we chose the Lovers to handle our wedding. We were carried by their love, enthusiasm, and expertise throughout the entire process. Despite the chilly -5 weather up on the mountain, we had loads of fun, felt expertly cared for (including our young kids and older parents), and had the elegant adventure elopement of our dreams.
Since then, we’ve been planning a family wedding in Europe, and wish we could find a wedding planner as good as Gypsy over there!!! There are wedding planners, and there are elopement companies, and then there’s The Lovers. They are in a class of their own.
If you’re getting married in Queenstown, book them. If you're not getting married in Queenstown, change your wedding plans, fly to Queenstown and elope with the Lovers. You won't regret it!

If you’re reading this - LOOK NO FURTHER - you have found the BEST in the business. Gypsy, Dawn and their incredible team of vendors will create a day that is beyond perfect in every sense of the word.
Not only are they incredible at putting together a picture perfect day (they have the WOW aesthetic down to an art); but arguably even more importantly, they just bring a sense of real warmth, emotion and love to your day that just can’t be faked.
Gypsy in particular spent many, MANY hours back and forth over email with me - making sure that every detail was what we envisioned. Nothing was ever too much or too difficult, Gypsy just made it happen.
The whole day was truly effortless on our end, The Lovers team had everything taken care of and when I say EVERYTHING was perfect, I mean EVERYTHING.
Gypsy went above and beyond for us. In the three days that we spent with her, she truly became part of our family. I can’t tell you how many times our family and friends said “OMG we love Gypsy, she’s just beautiful”, “Gypsy just feels like part of the family”, or in the words of my Mum “Gypsy is heaven sent - she’s a literal angel”.
We have only received a sneak peak of our photos - but Dawn is INCREDIBLE at what she does. For two very camera shy people, I was blown away at the magic she created (not to mention sending through our sneak peak within a matter of days). Just WOW.
I spent many hours trawling through google reviews trying to find the perfect NZ wedding planner, and I can hand on my heart say that if you are looking for a wedding planner in Queenstown/ Wanaka, stop right now - you’ve just found the PERFECT one.

Having had the pleasure of working alongside Gypsy and Dawn on a number of occasions, I can say that these women are true professionals and absolute creative geniuses. Their ability to take a couples vision and make it a reality is truly a gift, and the vibes that they bring to each of the celebrations they're a part of are always amazing - I'm talking genuine kindness, love, and laughter aplenty!
You really couldn't hope for a better set of wedding legends to help you create the perfect day than the Lovers.

I don't even know where to begin. This review is long overdue and it's precisely because there is an overwhelming amount of good things to say and absolutely nothing short of an incredible experience.
My husband and I (we are from the States) decided to forego the traditional and expensive wedding and instead opt for a more intimate day and spend more of our budget on an adventurous honeymoon. We looked around and did a LOT of research and came across Lovers Co. I never had a dream wedding growing up but the Lovers makes you grow a desire to have one.
From the beginning, we felt very comfortable corresponding with Gypsy and Dawn. We discussed budget, vision, goals. Everything was made easy to understand and not to mention, you just speak and things are made into fruition.
If you are a planner like I am and always concerned with all minute aspects and details, do not hesitate. Book them now. Not in Queenstown, NZ? Still worth it. They have made planning a wedding overseas more comfortable than planning one near my hometown. All things leading up to the wedding were made perfectly seamless.
Even better, was the actual day of our wedding. We felt like we had A-List celebrity treatment. The Lovers team is so professional but also they make you feel like family. Every moment felt so special. SO DETAIL ORIENTED and I did not need to worry about a thing. Dawn is such an exceptional photographer, honestly it was such an honour to have our photos taken by her. I have never met a florist as creative as Gypsy. The way her bouquets come together truly is a work of art. Andrew has made Ceremonies seem fun despite freezing weather. Alarna is a genius in the way that she worked with my face. Emily made us feel so comfortable because we didn't even realize the camera was there. Also everyone has the best sense of humour. So you're in for a good time.
I would say they're better at procuring our needs and wants than any genie in a bottle could (you're also not limited to three wishes!)

Riding away into the sunset in a classic Mustang, our hearts filled with gratitude for the seamless orchestration of our special day.

We chose a mountain top wedding with breathtaking views of Queenstown. It was like a dream! The lovers team had such a fun, warm and professional vibe which added too the day. Our photos from Dawn were simply stunning and my floral arrangement from Gypsy was everything I had wanted and more. Ditch the big wedding and fly over to NZ for a wedding with The Lovers, you won’t regret it.
