A one of a kind experience, we booked them as the photographers for our elopement experience—a several hour long private ice caves your trek—and they managed to capture the beauty and the colors perfectly. Very happy with our pictures and our experience, would highly recommend.
Absolutely magical! Styrmir and heoidis made us feel so comfortable and they did a great job of bringing us to magical secluded spots even though the weather was literally insane that day. We still had a great time and got the best photos!! Everyone who’s seen them has been blown away - Highly recommend!
From start to finish, we loved our time with Styrmir and Heiðdís. They were kind, knowledgeable, and experts in their craft. The two of them have the understanding of their home country and the photography skills to make your vision a reality. Thank you so much to you both! I am so glad that we chose Styrmir & Heiðdís as our elopement photographers. I expected the beautiful photos, but underestimated how awesome of an adventure they would create for us.
Initially I was overwhelmed with options. For some reason there are a lot of photographers that want to be paid to take pictures in Iceland. S&H are awesome locals who are go out and explore for fun, so they know their country and how to photograph it beautifully.
They provide many photos from their portfolio showcasing shoots in different areas of the county, as well as informational guides on their website regarding how to prepare and plan for an elopement, which I found to be very helpful. Their responses to my questions were prompt and very thorough. I gave them a general region where we wanted to do the shoot, and they were able to provide us with options for specific locations once we met up. I imagine they easily accommodate those with more specific requests, however, for somebody who was borderline clueless, they were super helpful.
On the day of, they took us into the back of their truck and drove us to the ceremony location. They were so patient with me- I was extremely cold the entire time, and Heiðdís (along with officiant Magga Gauja) took care to keep me as comfortable as possible. My dress also kept snapping at the back and they made sure to promptly pin it back each time it broke.
They took us to a variety of shoot locations, from a black Mars-like landscape with striking green hills, to a glacier, to lupine fields, and finally to Skógafoss. They were friendly and calm, yet adventurous and creative. We had a lot of laughs. Choosing S&H gave us an amazing experience that we could have never expected, and I am forever thankful for their guidance and beautiful photos!
P.S. If you’re looking for an officiant, Magga Gauja with Siðmennt is wonderful. Not only was she willing to make her way to the location for the ceremony in her own truck, but she also wrote an awesome ceremony that was personalized for us. She totally went above and beyond.

Styrmir and Heiðdís are simply fantastic! We got connected with them through Pink Iceland and what can we say, they made our wedding day so memorable! They chose wonderful and magical locations for our photo tour. And the whole process felt so easy and natural. They celebrated our day with us and it felt like among friends.
The day after, they sent us a small selection of photos, which were already amazing! A few days ago we got all the photos from them and looking through them we were able to relive our day. The photos turned out fantastic and we can highly recommend them to everyone!

Our ceremony and reception were held at Idno in Reykjavik. Prior to the ceremony, we also went outside of Reykjavik to take photographs near a waterfall (with wild Icelandic horses too!) - this was truly an experience we will never forget and one of our favorite parts of the day.
We truly were able to enjoy our wedding day and be present with each other and our guests without distractions.
