We splurged on our photography budget and this was the best decision we made in our wedding planning process. Our wedding weekend were so far the best days of our lives. I actually got really nervous the week after, what if I hate my photos? The number one regret I heard from other brides was that they didn't like their photos. Now Shoma and I laugh about how I was nervous because I am OBSESSED with our photo album. I'm working on our heirloom album and having the toughest time choosing our 200 favorite photos lol!
Memories are so important to us though - I would not be able to remember things without a photo. But Katelyn caught so many of the best moments - me wiping a tear off of my husband or my dad's cheek, the flower girls and ring bearers exhausted on the couch, both of us choking up when I walked down the aisle, his childhood friends holding up a photo from when they were kids (proof of their life-long friendship), the butt grab on the cake topper. We can look at these photos and be brought back instantly - I hope for years to come.
Her shop is great too - for Christmas - all of our family presents were framed photos and members of our wedding party were even getting framed photos for each other because they loved them so much! We loved both the portraits and the candids. And I feel like she took such flattering portraits!
I think another big part of it was energy - she was so helpful in the months leading up to the wedding and so organized and communicative. And when I was running late on the wedding day (because I always am lol) - she still hit all of the shots on our wish list and more and kept a super positive attitude even on a time crunch. If you are a bride selecting vendors, who you have around you on your wedding day is everything - our team was awesome and I felt so hyped up and beautiful and supported. I can't recommend Katelyn enough!

Katelyn was INCREDIBLE!! I highly recommend her for her skill but also intentionality with clients as she is working. Her pictures are BEAUTIFUL as well as her heart. She truly cares about making your moments as special as you know they are. She is quick to respond to emails and communicates very well. She gives great ideas and suggestions and is just very helpful with ALL questions and concerns. She makes sometimes stressful moments easier and just is overall VERY fun! Another huge plus is how quickly she gets her photos back, allowing you to share with loved ones!! THANKS KATELYN!!
From the moment I connected with Katelyn, I knew my wedding pictures would be in good hands. Throughout the months leading up to my wedding, she was helpful and attentive. She provided suggestions for vendors and timelines and made sure I was completely supported being a destination bride. Between out email and phone calls, Katelyn gave me such a reassurance. I was legitimately excited to meet her and the team when I got to KY. The day of my wedding, she and her team were incredibly professional and organized. And then we got some previews of the pictures- Oh. My. Gosh. More beautiful than I could have even imagined. From details and candids and everything in between, I was so amazed. If you're considering booking Katelyn, trust me - do it! I could not recommend Katelyn and her team more. She recently captured our wedding we are loving our photos! What's more, every step of the way working with Katelyn was uplifting, positive and energetic. Believe me when I say - you want her on your team for your wedding day!
I love how Katelyn is aware and mindful of ALL a client's wedding vendors! She is adamant on making sure timelines are lined up so that the couple can have the personal, unique, and special details of their day photographed. She is prompt in her response times, and we all know how important great communication is! I would highly recommend her!!
Katelyn and her assistant are awesome. They make you feel so special on your wedding day and Katelyn even remembered all 10 of my bridesmaids names! Most importantly, my pictures turned out perfect!!! I love all of the ones in my sneak peek so much, I don't know which one to choose. Do yourself a favor and book Katelyn as your photographer. You won't regret it!
