No lie, the best decision my husband and I made was hiring Janelle for our wedding photography! I have been dreaming for years of working with her and I was so happy she was available for our date. Throughout the entire process Janelle was professional, creative, attentive, and overall so much fun to work with. We did a photoshoot with her the night before and her calmness and lightheartedness truly helped us relax and enjoy each other's presence. My husband isn't a fan of taking pictures but Janelle brought out the inner model in him - he had a freaking blast! He literally could not wait until the wedding day to take more pictures with her. Janelle handled our large family and wedding party with ease and every single picture came out perfect. I cannot get over the gorgeous pictures she captured. Every picture she captured tells a beautiful story and because of her work we can relive the best day ever whenever we look at them. That was the best wedding gift we could have asked for!
I can't say enough wonderful things about Janelle. She is extremely professional, creative and fun. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!
My search for a photographer was miserable! I scoured countless of pages, but there was always something lacking. Either the pictures were too posed, or too awkward, or the photographer wasn't great at catching those candid shots. When I did find a photographer I liked, I had the most uncomfortable, awkward turtle conversation with him on the phone, and became incredibly disheartened. How can you spend an entire day with someone who already makes you feel uncomfortable?
I started expanding my search, and stumbled upon Janelle, who at the time was based in Minnesota. I kept searching, but kept finding myself coming back to her page and realized that despite the distance, she was what I was looking for! Her photos just made you feel happy, and you could tell how amazing the day was, and I knew I had to at least reach out to her. Our first phone conversation, she was excited, bubbly, and warm. She understood what I had been searching for, and not only were her pictures fantastic, I was completely comfortable with someone I had never met! She helped me figure out a package that would work for me and even agreed to fly out to do our engagement shoot in California. Janelle on both our engagement and wedding day was fantastic. She arrived on time, communicated with all my vendors, and worked throughout the day to make sure me and my husband were comfortable, and taken care of. You will not regret having Janelle as your photographer. You will laugh constantly, and feel like you're having an amazing day, which you should, because it is your wedding! In terms of turn around time, Janelle got us our engagement pictures within DAYS. Our wedding pictures we received in less than 2 weeks! I've said it in other reviews, but what I valued most during my wedding planning process was professionalism, communication, quality and VALUE. I am so blessed to be able to relive the day so quickly. Thank you so much to Janelle! We love you!

My husband and I always say having Janelle as our photographer was the very best purchase (and most important in our opinion) of our entire wedding process. She is worth every penny. Not only will you be left with amazing, beautiful pictures but Janelle goes above and beyond for you on your wedding day. We had a bridal party of 18 total and Janelle handled us all with ease. She was prompt, professional, timely, organized but also kind, fun and added to our wedding day celebration. If you can't find your flowers, Janelle goes and finds them. If you need to bustle your dress, Janelle offers to do it. She dotes on you the entire day, making you feel like a princess, telling you your beautiful, putting all your worries totally out of your head. And on top of all of that she somehow manages to not make herself too noticeable during the ceremony, but she still gets every picture. There's nothing worse than when the photographer is running around clicking during the ceremony. Janelle was like a mouse! She is so professional. She knows what she's doing and how to do it well. And lastly she's a good person. We never felt like Janelle was just in it for the money. She cares about each and every client. She cares about what's important to you on your wedding day and she really looks to be not only a photographer but also a friend. We're forever thankful for how talented she is because we have the most beautiful pictures from that day but we're also thankful for how much she cared.
Janelle is nothing short of fantastic. She is a genius with the camera. She has an eye for beauty, composition. She works with you to capture the things you want to capture. She is so kind and SO fun. Our wedding pictures are truly the most amazing photos I have ever seen. She completely understood our vision and captured the love, beauty, and GENUINE joy. They were not posed or fake. SHE IS AMAZING!!!! Absolutely amazing. I HIGHLY recommend Janelle Elise Photography. SHE IS THE BEST!!!!!!!
One one word, Janelle is incredible at what she does. She is highly experienced, personable, and a joy to work with. I have not stopped receiving compliments on our wedding photos. I truly believe she is the best in the twin cities. Go with Janelle and you will be more than pleased!
