The Columns, with its elegant Victorian decor, is the perfect place for your private events. Our versatile rooms can accommodate up to 300 people for your event.With over 35 years in hosting experience, we have a talented team at your service to ensure that your event will be spectacular.  The Columns isn't your typical hotel experience. Originally constructed as a private dwelling in 1883, the building was transformed into a boarding house during World War I. The building was converted into a hotel in 1953 by a local family, and the bar on the porch quickly became a destination. It was purchased by Jayson Seidman and his family in 2019 after being listed on the National Register of Historic Places by the National Park Service. It's time to move on to the next chapter in this cherished setting.. As long-time residents, we share your enthusiasm for this hotel, and we look forward to continuing to treat it as a family business that merits the care and respect it deserves.The Columns have been a part of New Orleans for such a long period of time that they have become a monument in its own right. When everyone knows the name of the place, you don't have to say the address. The Columns, which overlook St. Charles Avenue, with its magnificent magnolia trees and streetcar line, is a short walk from the other historic houses in the region and is a great place to relax.  We've meticulously repaired the ancient structure and built a whole new garden, rooftop sundeck, and cocktail bar to complement it. With a careful and sophisticated repair, we were able to breathe new life into our public areas as well. Grand rooms, which are ideal for both private meetings and bigger events, are centered on the spirit and history of the building they are designed to complement.
