The building was converted into a hotel in 1953 by a local family, and the bar on the porch quickly became a destination. It was purchased by Jayson Seidman and his family in 2019 after being listed on the National Register of Historic Places by the National Park Service. It's time to move on to the next chapter in this cherished setting.. When everyone knows the name of the place, you don't have to say the address. The Columns, which overlook St. Charles Avenue, with its magnificent magnolia trees and streetcar line, is a short walk from the other historic houses in the region and is a great place to relax. We've meticulously repaired the ancient structure and built a whole new garden, rooftop sundeck, and cocktail bar to complement it. With a careful and sophisticated repair, we were able to breathe new life into our public areas as well.
