We have just returned having had our dream wedding in Dubrovnik, we are so grateful we found Marcela to be our wedding planner. She was a pleasure to deal with, communication was effortless, and she guided us through the process of what we needed and when by. It really did make the whole process stress-free and culminated with the most amazing day we will not forget. Thank you again Marcela! Now that the wedding highs have come down and we have reflected on our special day we can honestly say that our day would not have been made possible and no way would it have been the most incredible day that it was if it wasn't for Marcela at Dubrovnik wedding inspiration.
I have so much gratitude and respect towards this lady. All the hard work she put into our day and most importantly how calm she made me feel. If there was ever a time I was worried or had any questions about the wedding, Marcela was just an email, text or call away and after I had spoken to her all my worries and questions were answered. She made it very easy to plan a wedding abroad.
On the wedding day itself this women was truly worth EVERY PENNY! From being there in the morning and calming my nerves, to making sure all 61 people from the wedding party was in a taxi home.
Marcela is one very organised women who has everything in control, she made sure the day ran smoothly and everything ran on time. What goes on behind the scenes is amazing and we didn't have to worry about a single thing.
Marcelas mother was involved throughout the day also and what an incredible lady she is, again making sure everything was running smoothly. They truly are the A team.
If I could do it all again I would not change a single thing and I would use Marcela 10000% over and over again.

We first contacted her in January 2022 and through the next 18 months she worked hand in hand, tirelessly with us to help us plan our 90 people wedding. We are based in the US so we couldn’t see our venue in person but her recommendation was stellar. From the ceremony and reception venues down to the photobooth vendor she hand picked every single vendor. They all came in with high recommendations and did not disappoint. All the vendors she recommend exceed our expectations and truly a gem to work with.
Marcela addressed every single question I had (and there were many of them haha) all the time, kept me calm and invested 110% in every detail for our wedding.
In addition, she helped us plan a bunch of pre and post wedding activities for our friends and family that they all enjoyed very much.
Truly cannot express our gratitude towards her and all the help she’s been since January 2022. She puts her heart and soul in every wedding and there is no one better than her!

Choosing a wedding planner can be daunting, especially when the wedding is abroad, but the moment my husband and I had a video call with Marcela we knew she was perfect for the job! She really is passionate about making your wedding day special and thinks of all the little details to create the perfect setting and ambience. Marcela is full of creative ideas and recommended so many fantastic vendors!!
Marcela was always readily available when we had questions or concerns and quickly put our worries to rest with her brilliant problem solving. For us, seeing how Marcela operated on the wedding day solidified why we chose her to help plan- she will make your day run so smoothly, it was amazing!! Following on our engagement, I suggested to Merlissa (Mel) that we get married in her late fathers home country of Croatia as “if he can’t come to the wedding, lets take the wedding to your Dad!”
Once agreed, typically being a bloke, I passed the baton over to Mel as I knew how important the planning and detail of the day was to her and I didn’t want to cloud things by making stupid suggestions lol.
We had looked at Split and Dubrovnik as venue choices and Mel contacted wedding planners for both areas. We favoured Dubrovnik as we are Game of Thrones fans and felt it would make our guests visit more special as well as most of our friends are too. None of the other wedding planners gave off the same vibe as Marcela did and as soon as we made contact it really was comforting and lovely from the get-go
From the outset, Marcela was welcoming, caring and totally on board with making the planning of everything to do with the wedding an enjoyable and as stress free as possible. That made it even easier to look at Dubrovnik.
We booked a holiday to go and meet Marcela and view different venues. The first thing that hit me was when we met Marcela is that it was like meeting up with a long-standing friend and hit it off straight away. No language barrier whatsoever, in fact some would say she speaks better English than us!
She took time to discuss what was important and always had Mel’s ‘dream wedding’ in the forefront of everything she discussed and suggested.
We then decide on venue (after narrowing down to 2 potential venues) and on our return home booked the wedding and venue.
Excited and nervous, we were never left to feel isolated by distance as Marcela tirelessly communicated throughout the weeks and months and was fully involved in the meticulous detail needed to make our day special.
Marcela will probably feel my involvement was minimal and this is true. Only because she made everything so easy for Mel to deal with and that is the biggest compliment I can pass on. I get involved in things, similar to my professional life, generally when things go wrong. I took a relative back seat but was not totally in the dark, just purely in agreement and making suggestions as an when required.
Upon arrival for the wedding trip, Marcela met us to set the timeline of what and when everything would happen. Everything was dealt with in a professional yet friendly manner and nothing was too much trouble for her. Regardless of any cultural difference she was always accommodating and seemed to go the extra mile every time. Bear in mind she is close to full term pregnancy I’m blown away at her energy levels throughout.
The day of the wedding, had you asked for a wish, was the most perfect in every way possible….
Wall to wall sunshine from sunrise to the most beautiful sunset anyone could ever wish to see. The day flowed seamlessly and at every stage we were made to feel like royalty. In fact after the ceremony we were taken for photos in the Old Town and both commented that we felt like Movie Stars with tourist applauding us and commenting on how beautiful Mel looked (I wasn’t too shabby I must add) as we were treated to some stunning photographs by the 2 guys who were with us for most of the day. Great choice of photographers by the way Marcela!!
Someone wrote a review calling Marcela the Mary Poppins of wedding planning. No! she’s the Fairy Godmother and certainly made Mel’s dreams come true! I cannot enthuse how grateful we both are and weeks after the wedding friends and family have not stopped telling us how special the day was and that the entire day was the best wedding day they had been to. That says everything and I’m sure everyone thinks their wedding day was the best day. I’m sorry but unless you use Marcela, you’ll just never know how good it can be!!

Marcela is absolutely incredible at what she does. She took the time to get to know my husband and I, listened, guided and ultimately helped us achieve our dream wedding. Communication was always clear and prompt, organization was of top priority to her but best of all she was a joy to work with. Would recommend Marcela time and time again, she is the best in the business!
We have worked with Marcela in Dubrovnik during our client wedding which she helped to organise. She is extremely talented, super organised, have extremely good eye and attention to details. We couldn't recommend her enough for your wedding day.
