Planning a multi-day Indian wedding while juggling two demanding careers—a tech leadership role and a medical fellowship—was no small feat. Her counterpart, Daniela G, brought patience, organization, and precision to every micro-level task. Together, they struck a balance that made even the most complex aspects of planning feel seamless.

Their collaborative working style—despite a 5-hour time difference—was incredible. They kept lines of communication open constantly and tapped into an impressive network of top-tier vendors that ensured our vision was always in the best hands. One of their biggest contributions was holding us accountable to our tasks. With our demanding schedules, their gentle reminders and structured guidance kept us on track without feeling overwhelmed.

Their expertise shone throughout the year-long planning process, with every detail timed to the exact minute for the entire wedding weekend. Not a single detail or vendor was missed, and the execution was flawless. The Unique Dream team knew the key elements essential for an Indian wedding—often anticipating our needs before we did. They went above and beyond to support us, even when we made unconventional choices. For example, when we decided to set up two separate ceremonies with less than 24 hours’ notice due to potential rain, they not only handled the setup but did so with grace, understanding, and humility. They created two stunning ceremony structures, stayed flexible, and ensured we had umbrellas at the ready.

Coming from the United States, choosing to get married in Portugal was an intimidating and stressful decision.  But from our first call with Daniela and Unique Dream Wedding, we were confident we were in good hands.  In a brief introductory call, Daniela immediately gave us a high-level overview of how her and her company would plan, design and coordinate our wedding, with specific timelines of when and how to contact vendors, specific channels for communicating decisions, and a personalized website to track all planning progress.  All of a sudden, the prospect of getting married in another country was no longer so overwhelming.

Over the course of a year, we were in constant communication with Daniela and her team to make sure that our dream wedding would be achieved.  They would provide short lists of vendor options, and we would work together to interview them and decide which one would best meet our needs.  Every time we had a call with a vendor, Daniela or somebody else from her team would be there, sometimes to take notes, and sometimes to chime in with insightful questions that we ourselves had overlooked.  I can’t overstate how comforting and reassuring it was to have them involved throughout the entire process.

Finally came the week of the wedding, and Porto was stricken with devastating forest fires, and rain was forecast for the days of our Welcome Dinner and Wedding.  Daniela and her team were communicating with us constantly, providing options upon options about how to change our events due to the weather conditions while still achieving the most beautiful days imaginable.  In the end, we had to shift our Welcome Dinner to be under a tent, rather than the original plan of being outdoors … and even this Plan B design was more beautiful than we could have ever imagined.  It’s a testament to Unique Dream Wedding’s design skills and practical problem solving that they were able to pivot and still deliver such a wonderful event.

The day of the wedding, the weather cleared up and we were able to move forward with our original plan for the day’s events.  Multiple times throughout the day, my partner and I would turn to each other and remark on how the day ended up so beautifully.  There were 3 team members from Unique Dream Wedding there throughout the entire day and evening, making sure that neither me nor my partner had to stress about any of the details.  And that’s the best part about having worked with Unique Dream Wedding, that we were able to focus solely on enjoying our special day, with full confidence that Daniela’s team would take care of all the details.

We had a beautiful Welcome Dinner and a beautiful Wedding.  Working with Unique Dream Wedding made the stressful choice of getting married in Portugal an amazing and beautiful one.  I fully recommend working with them to plan your wedding, knowing that they will deliver a beautiful event and take care of all of your worries.

The vendors she worked with were exceptional too. Despite extensively reviewing our planned decorations and florals, nothing could have prepared us for the final products - we were absolutely blown away in person. She had incredible recommendations for local photo/video/hair and makeup, which made picking vendors that much easier.

It is hard to find the words to truly express how wonderful of an experience my husband and I had while working with Unique Dream  Wedding. My husband and I were blown away by the attention to detail, easy communication, hard work and dedication this team had to making our wedding day magical. During the planning process, they were easily accessible via email and were willing to schedule a video conference any time that we wanted. During the actual wedding weekend, they took care of EVERYTHING– I didn’t have to think/worry/stress; I simply enjoyed every single moment.

Working with Daniela and team was a phenomenal experience. From the very first meeting it was clear that they are one of the few wedding planners our there that really listen. On every call and visit UDW was super organized. Their lists, emails, aisleplanner.com login took so much of the burden out of planning. We were always confident they would remind us when a payment or decision needed to be made. They also liaised directly with all vendors, hotels etc., only pulling us in when required. We had rain for most of our wedding day, and Daniela and team seamlessly made back up plans, scouring Sintra for matching umbrellas, without creating any additional angst.

I can't recommend UDW more. Daniela leads a very professional team, is comprehensive and organized, and will bring to life the wedding of your - and your guests! - dreams.
