$$$$ Kasteel de Haar is a monumental castle in the Utrecht village of Haarzuilens. It is the largest castle in the Netherlands . It was built in neo-Gothic style on the ruins of the old castle from 1892 onwards. De Haar consists of a large area in which, in addition to the main building, there are also associated gardens and other buildings, such as a chapel . The adjacent village has a strong relationship with the castle and the whole falls under a protected village view .
