Hire Carol, right now! She is the best. She got recommended to me by my cousin and I could not have asked for a better photography duo. She started with our engagement shots and they were amazing! When it came to the wedding, the photos were absolutely stunning. She truly captured our New Year's Eve - Classic San Francisco wedding perfectly. I hope to use her again the in the future!
I was born and raised in Monterey but no longer live in the area, so when I was searching for a wedding photographer, I asked around. All recommendations led to Carol. Was she helpful? Yes. She guided me through the endless decisions I had to make. Was she flexible? Yes. She'll work with you on packages and will do (almost) anything you want (within reason). Was she reasonably priced? Yes, in comparison. Was she on time? Yep and even stayed later than she had to in order to get everything she wanted. Did she capture the essence of our day with gorgeous prints and without cheesy staged images? She sure did and they are AMAZING.
Carol and her husband Justin were outstanding and lovely from the beginning of the process to the end. They were both so sweet and always kept to our requests during the wedding (we didn't want to take pictures for hours and wanted to enjoy our party). They truly will capture a blend of artistic, classic, and candid images. Whether it's for a wedding, engagement, or family portrait, honestly, just do yourself a favor and stop searching. Working with Carol Oliva Photography has been an absolute dream! We purchased the wedding photography package that included an engagement session, which was incredible because we were able to work with her before our special day. She immediately made us feel comfortable and confident. She was knowledgeable and familiar with the local area, timing, and light, which made offering several sites possible for our engagement session. We were extremely happy with our engagement photographs and knew that we had chosen the perfect match to capture our wedding. Carol and her second shooter, JD, had the most positive energy and we were so grateful for their presence on our special day. Our wedding photographs are beyond anything we could have imagined. Every photograph captures so many emotions fully -- the love, the joy, and the cheer. Additionally, they were able to capture so much of the natural beauty of our venue, Gardener Ranch, as both Carol and JD were very familiar the site. We will remember our day forever because of this fantastic dream team! I highly recommend working with Carol Oliva for any photography need on the central coast!
Carol and Justin make up the fabulous team of Carol Oliva Photography. My husband and I did our engagement & wedding photos with them, and that was the best purchase we made. They both have such an amazing eye for absolutely breathtaking photos.

We also used their photo booth during our reception, and that was almost just as fun as the reception! They were so entertaining making our guests laugh, and had the perfect props for our guests to utilize.
Another great benefit is Carol's timely correspondence. Anytime I had a question, she'd email me back, with thorough explanation. Their work speaks for itself, when I say that you will not regret booking them for your photography needs!!

Carol does great work! She is fun and creative and facilitates a warm atmosphere while taking your photos, helping you to feel comfortable and confident which is so important! I am always in awe of the finished photos as she is able to capture the light beautifully and frame the scene with an artist’s eye. I highly recommend her!
Carol and her husband are an amazing team! They did our engagement and wedding photos. We were thrilled with both! Their great personalities and laid back nature took out any awkwardness and made the photo sessions a blast. Even my bridesmaids and guests complimented how "cool" my photographers were :) But most importantly, our photos were absolutely beautiful and timeless. Thank you Carol!
I don’t even know where to begin in describing how amazing Carol and her husband are. We picked them based off glowing reviews from every wedding vendor we spoke to, and I could not be more grateful we did. My husband and I are two people who are not comfortable in front of the camera, and I at least really didn’t have a good idea of how photography worked or what it took to get a great shot… cue this incredible team. From the word go, Carol made us feel so at ease – listening to exactly what I was envisioning and hoping for, and making us feel like naturals in front of the camera. I knew we’d picked the perfect person when our engagement pic shoot got rained out, and Carol was beyond on top of it getting us rescheduled (even though it only gave her maybe a week and a half to get some engagement pics sent our way). The shoot felt so natural, comfortable, and fun (we were all laughing like crazy the entire time!), and the pics… STUNNING! We are not the most photogenic people (aka I never like any pics of myself) and yet Carol made us look like we were an ad in a magazine. I had people coming up to me even at the wedding asking for her info based off just the engagement pics alone.
