Marci has worked for our family on 6 different occasions now, 2 weddings, 3 senior pictures and 1 engagement photo shoot. Her talent and professionalism is stellar, and we enjoy how she interacts with her subjects to bring out their unique personalities and emotions. Getting ALL your pictures in high resolution clarity to own and print is a huge plus, but truly the best part of her work is how she manages to recognize and capture the special moments of her subjects and deliver them to you in short order after the shoot. 5 stars, highly recommend, exceptional!!!

We couldn't be happier with our good luck in hiring Marci to photograph our wedding. She's a terrific photographer, first of all, who knows how to capture spontaneous candid photos of guests having fun as well as the more formal posed photographs and the ceremony itself. She's got a great eye for a memorable pic and is willing to do whatever it takes to capture her shot, even if it means getting herself a little dirty. But you can probably see her skill for yourself if you check out her portfolio. What you won't be able to see is how great Marci is to work with in every other way. She's thoroughly professional, punctual, and quick to respond to any questions you might have in the weeks leading up to your event. She's also so knowledgeable about weddings that she can act in some ways as an unofficial wedding planner, reminding you (or informing you for the first time) of a dozen things you can do to make your event go more smoothly so that you're more free to enjoy yourself on the day. She had terrific advice for us, ranging from how to wrangle relatives for photos to how to choose the kind of makeup that looks best under the lights. And to top all of this off, she's delightfully friendly and easygoing. Just having Marci in your corner is going to allow you to enjoy yourself more and focus on the most important parts of the day. And at the end of it you're going to have lots of amazing pictures! We recommend her unreservedly and enthusiastically.

We hired Marci Curtis for our engagement photos in May 2023 and then our wedding on 12/16/23. I'm not even sure where to start because she was absolutely amazing to work with! She is creative and talented; we couldn't be more pleased with how both our engagement and wedding photos turned out. She uses her photos to tell a story and doesn't do the staged or fake photos that have become so popular lately. Her photos evoke genuine emotion. When we look back at our photos now, she captured an actual moment in time that we can remember instead of some silly pose we were forced to do. She is an exceptional communicator and had so much information to offer for planning a wedding that wasn't even related to photography! Marci answers emails quickly and is extremely thorough. We would hire her again in a heartbeat and actually anticipate doing so when we can come up with another occasion we need to capture! Thank you Marci!

Marci is just incredible! She knows so much about weddings and how to make them run smoothly. When we got off track of the timeline she found ways to get us back on track, and she was so fun too! My favorite photos were the candids she got of our friends and family. She was helpful not just the day of but in the lead up as well. And the best part is that we got our photos back in only a week and they are absolutely beautiful!

Before I had even booked Marci she was already worth the money that I paid. She had invaluable recommendations that transformed the wedding into something even better than I had planned before we even signed a contract. We had a winter wedding and she did such a good job capturing the aesthetic. She used so much of the background for amazing shots and made sure to let us know different times of the day/night that would make for good pictures so we could enjoy a fun variety. The amount of information she gave me before the wedding was so appreciated, it was our first time getting married and she helped us really get a feel for what to expect. Hire her, you will not be disappointed.

Marci PERFECTLY captured all of the love and fun of our New Year's Eve wedding. We don't love posing for photos so we were nervous, but Marci made the process fun and easy and made us feel so at ease. She was incredibly easy to work with, and insanely fast--she sent our 1,700 photos ONE WEEK after our wedding! I initially regretted not having a videographer, but Marci's photos totally made up for that. She captured all of the special moments and her photos truly tell the story of our perfect day. We cannot be more grateful to Marci for doing such an amazing job capturing the memories of our special day!

If you are considering booking Marci as your wedding photographer, do it!! She is professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and brings so much more than just her photography skills to her assignments. She was prepared with last minute emergency items that helped make the day go smoothly. I had a vision of taking photos outside in the streets of downtown Detroit and she captured them beautifully! I am not always comfortable in front of a camera, but Marci really helps make the photography process relaxed and helped calm some nerves before the ceremony. Even months after my wedding, I still obsess over all my wedding photos for hours because they turned out so beautifully. I would 110% recommend Marci Curtis to anyone for any occasion!
