Ruan went above and beyond to capture me and my fiancé's engagement moment. Months of planning and preparation went into the shoot, with complex timing and location requests - Ruan was able to handle it with ease and high professionalism. Highly recommend Ruan Redelinghuys Photography!
I engaged with Ruan after finding his profile online to take photos of my proposal. His engagement was very professional, prompt and made it feel like we were a team planning the proposal together! On the day of the shoot, we were still doing last minute planning and he was very flexible with the last minute changes.
We had a lovely photoshoot after the proposal and it made for a memorable experience for my fiancée and I. The photos are of superior quality. I am very grateful I found him and would 100% recommend him!

Ruan Redelinghuys is an incredible photographer! He is funny, caring, respectful, open to ideas, super talented, and THE BEST in the business. We couldn't believe our eyes the moment we saw our wedding photos. It is absolutely beautiful. The way Ruan captures nature and the surroundings and makes it come "alive" in a photo behind us, is something to see. He works in a way that no one notices him, but in the end, you can clearly see how he captured every single special moment without us realizing he was there. We are in love with your work, Ruan! Ruan was absolutely amazing in capturing our beautiful wedding day. He made sure that every detail and emotion was caught on camera. He made us feel comfortable in front of the lense and we were able to showcase our love and personalities easily and comfortably. No amount of time could prepare us for your photos, for the almost physical shock of being transported back to a day that we’ve wished so many times we could go back to and relive again.
In all my years in the wedding industry and over the past months talking to our guests from the wedding no one has ever seen a photographer work harder or more enthusiastically than you. I remember at the reception we stood for a few minutes watching you set up for the photo by the dance floor, you have an intensity and a dedication to your art that is mind blowing. Watching you work brings to mind what Viggo Mortensen said, that “to be an artist is just a way of living. It has to do with paying attention, remembering, filtering what you see and answering back, participating in life..”
You capture life. The longer I look at your photos, the more I focus on the background, the more I see and that could only be because you were paying attention in that moment, seeing something coming before anyone else did. You are truly an artist..
I don’t think I could ever write enough words to say thank you for these beautiful memories, this moment captured in time for us to go back and live in, because everything, all the emotion, the excitement, the happiness, the anticipation, it’s all there, every last feeling, it’s all there in those beautiful photos..

Ruan did such an amazing job on our wedding day. He captured our love so beautifully and gave us great instructions. We now have beautiful memories to look back on because of his work.
