Anyone can take a picture, but Rae Marshall perfectly captures the magic of the moment through her photography. Rae's photos authentically showcased the essence of our wedding day, from the excitement of getting ready to that ‘just married’ feeling of bliss.
On top of that, Rae has an eye for amazing shots. We were absolutely blown away when we got the full album! Simply put, each photo felt like a work of art, both elevated and beautiful. She also did a great job of capturing the little details, our guests, décor, food and drink that we would have lost in the blur of the day. Additionally, finding a photographer that accurately captured shades and skin tones accurately was also very important to me, and Rae surpassed my expectations when it came to that!

All in all, Rae is a true gem. She made taking portraits comfortable and dare I say fun. You can tell she is passionate about her work, and she does a great job listening to what her clients are looking for when it comes to capturing the things that are important to them. After using her for both our engagement photos and wedding photography, I cannot sing her praises enough! Booking Rae was easily one of the best decisions we made when planning our wedding. We continue to get so many compliments on our photos, and I am so glad we will get to treasure these pictures forever.

My husband and I spent a ton of time and energy sifting through wedding vendors for our 2023 wedding, and I have to say, picking a photographer was probably the hardest decision for me. Trying to decide what aesthetic I wanted while taking vendor availability into account wasn’t an easy task (we planned our wedding in 7 months). I came across Rae’s profile on Instagram while looking through my venue’s profile and wondered why it was my first time hearing of her. Rae recently moved to NC after spending some time in Hawaii, which initially made me second guess her as my photographer. I’m not really sure why that made me hesitate, I guess in my head I thought the more familiar the person was with the area the better they would be? Totally wrong (like 200% wrong). Rae worked with me, very patiently, until I found a site for my engagement pictures that I loved. She was already familiar with my wedding venue which made me feel great. She also was a part of a styled shoot there that was absolutely breathtaking. That was definitely where my inclination to book her came from. My husband and I have taken professional pictures before but something was different with Rae. We both felt so comfortable in front of the camera and she was so easy-going, it made for such a great experience. As for the wedding photos, they were phenomenal. Like, P H E N O M E N A L. I’m not under-exaggerating one bit when I say that. She has this ability to capture the most perfect moments even in chaos. We had quite a few babies/children at our event and every single photo they were in, babies were smiling looking directly at her. If you have a baby or have tried taken photos of babies, you know that’s not an easy task. Rae was flexible and so quick to communicate with me. She will forever be a part of our wedding day and I think of her every time I see one of our beautiful photos. I’ve recommended her to SO many people. Future brides, moms, fiancés - whatever. Rae is your person. Book her now and thank me later. We love you Rae!!

We first met Rae when she did our engagement photos in Hawai'i, and we were utterly thrilled when she moved to North Carolina in time to shoot our wedding there. Both experiences were perfect. Rae is so easy to work with - her happy, enthusiastic style dissipated any potential awkwardness and helped us relax and enjoy the experience. Everyone we talked to afterwards had similar reactions - no matter how awkward they felt going in, Rae made them feel comfortable and excited.
