Olivia was just what we wanted in a planner. I was hesitant to have a big wedding because I didn’t want the stress. Olivia made is so easy with her trusted vendor to get everything in order without much research or back and forth. Her and her team were very available throughout the planning process to answer all of our questions and make sure we had all of the details we needed.

The day of was even easier than the planning. She was taking care of everything at the venue and her assistant was with me all day, keeping the timeline moving and helping is with anything we needed. From bandaids to sewing my dress and all my shoe changes, they were so helpful. I really got to enjoy my wedding day and not worry about anything. I would definitely use her again but not planning to need to :)

About Events allowed us to have our dream wedding in Porto! Working with Olivia was truly a dream. She's incredibly sweet, understanding, and well-versed in this industry. We started working with Olivia after we booked our venue and finding out I was pregnant (we were desperate). The entire process of planning a destination wedding, from the US and in less than a year, was stress-free and enjoyable. Despite the time difference, Olivia was always available for a call. The team took care of all communications between the vendors and catered to all my requests. Olivia never steered us wrong and always had the best recommendations for our vendors. She made sure we stuck to our budget, while still having everything we wanted. On the day of the wedding, Olivia and Andreia made sure that everything went as planned and assisted me every step of the way. I don’t think we would have been able to have our wedding if it weren’t for About Events. We are forever grateful for Olivia and her team!

It was such a stress free process and we surprised ourselves by feeling very relaxed on the wedding day. It was a pleasure to have them with us during the process and on the big day.

I cannot put into words how amazing Olivia and her team are. They made the wedding planning process so much less stressful and are extremely thorough in everything they do. Planning a wedding abroad is not always easy, but somehow Olivia and her team made it seamless and amazing for us. It’s important to trust the process with them because they really know what they’re doing and we were so glad we trusted in them once our wedding weekend came together. They only suggest the best vendors and give you plenty of options to choose from. Every single one of our vendors was amazing thanks to them. They are very upfront about the costs of everything and stick within your budget as well. They also give great advice on anything you need such as the time line, meal choices, photographer timing, furniture needed etc. The list is endless! They also are very responsive any time I had any questions. Andreia and Mariana were so amazing, anything I needed on the day and night they were there. They stayed with me all night in case I needed anything up until the end! Olivia is truly one of a kind and runs an amazing team, she is so sweet and goes above & beyond. She made us feel so special every step of the way. Having a team like this on your wedding day is truly so important and they made the day completely stress free. Not only are they so professional, they are extremely kind and caring. You can tell this is their passion and they love what they do. So many of our guests also commented on how amazing they were. Olivia and her team truly made our dreams a reality. As a couple from the US who do not speak Portuguese, the wedding planning process was intimidating, but with close communication, About Events helped put together the most beautiful Wedding day and welcome party. Through every bump in the road or concern, the team helped work through it and minimize our stress through the process. The day was even more beautiful than we could have imagined, and I am so sad that our time working with Olivia and her amazing team is over.
