Sam recently took our family photos. Where do I even begin? Let’s start with Sam. I haven’t had family pictures taken in a few years due to several things, but mostly because I always hate the way I look in pictures. When I tell you Sam is the biggest hype girl! I felt like Kim K. taking pictures like it was my job. She made me (and the rest of my family) feel so comfortable and confident in front of the camera. She is so laid back and understanding which is absolutely necessary when your kids are 5 and 3 and your 3 year old has the attention span of a peanut. I walked away thinking that even if we didn’t get “the” shot, we would have some memories of our chaotic reality.
After the pictures were taken, Samantha maintained great communication and in contact. I never doubted that she would get the pictures back to me in a timely manner. She followed up with some slight photoshop requests I had and insured that I was happy with what she was doing.
And boy was I happy! These pictures turned out better than I could have ever hoped. What started out as ‘hopefully we have one okay one’ turned into ‘how am I ever going to choose which picture to use for Christmas cards’. Her aesthetic is light and classic. She captured the personalities of both of my kids while also making it look like we have it together lol

First of all I wanna say thank you to Samantha for capturing our beautiful proposal pictures, I couldn’t have asked for better pictures! She was so sweet and the best hype woman I could ask for, she made me feel confident taking the pictures. She makes you feel comfortable and just has positive vibes, which is something good because you wanna feel good when taking pictures especially if it’s out of your comfort zone like me
Samantha captured our engagements last fall and wedding this past summer, and we cannot recommend her enough! Her work is clear, crisp, timeless, elegant, and romantic, and she is so sweet and fun to work with. She is excellent at working with couples to make taking pictures feel natural and not awkward/posed. She even helped with planning ideas leading up to the wedding (what would look best in our exit photos, when to take certain pictures based on lighting, etc.), and she worked seamlessly with our videographer and coordinator to ensure our wedding day was perfect. Also, she will travel and do whatever it takes to get the perfect shot! Her pricing is extremely reasonable for the amazing, top-tier quality in her work. I know we will continue to use her for future photos!
Sam went above and beyond for our wedding! All of my guests were raving about her. She's been such a joy to work with through out the whole process, and made me feel like we had been long friends. Her quality of work is exceptional. I can't wait to continue working with her for all of our family and holiday photos for years to come! I can't possibly thank her enough.

Sam is so fun to be around, and makes you feel totally comfortable around the camera. She is super responsive, and has a quick turn around time (even though her photos are worth waiting for)!
My fiance and I could not be happier with choosing Sun and Rose for our engagement and wedding pictures! Sam is an amazing photographer with a natural eye for capturing those perfect moments. She is incredibly easy to work with, it was like we had a close friend doing our photos. Sam is very responsive and timely with everything from scheduling to getting back photos. Oh did I also mention she is very affordable as well? She is worth every penny and more, I will recommend Sun and Rose Photography to any couple in the market for photos.

Sam is AMAZING! My wife and I were looking for a queer friendly photographer to snap some anniversary pics and she DID NOT DISAPPOINT. Her vision is so unique and her personality makes all feel welcome and comfortable. We love our pictures and we love Sun & Rose Photography! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
