Top 5 Holii & Ash, previously known as In The Wilds, was started in 2016 by best friends Holii Carmody & Ashleigh Needs. Together they have cultivated an aesthetic which is intrinsically classic and romantic at heart. Their greatest hope is that their work endures the generations to come, capturing a such significant moment in the lives of their couples. In 2022 Lead Photographer Meghan Tharratt joined the team, working alongside them in their Denmark studio. Holii & Ash produce documentary style fine art photography and candid, cinematic short films. Their work is inspired by the celebration of love and the story of each couple. Timelessness is central to their approach and is considered in their style of direction, composition, use of light and editing technique. They approach each wedding with a fresh and open mind, supported by the years of experience they have shared working together. Being part of such an emotional and meaningful day in their couples lives is something they are very grateful for and appreciative of. At every step of the day they are seeking out the moments that inspire tears or goosebumps. They provide deeply meaningful and personal photography and film that can be beloved for an eternity.

You brought a sense of calm, comfortability and enjoyment to the photographing process. We loved having you two be apart of our wedding.
Even while jet lagged and sleeping in a hotel room in a foreign country, we received photos the next day! Your work ethic and passion is admirable, your attention to detail is stunning and our photos are indescribable! I don’t think anyone could have captured our day more perfectly.

On the day itself, they were so lovely, friendly and engaging with us and all the guests, they were very clear at directing us and our bridal party in our photos and even touched up my hair and makeup when needed - nothing was too much to ask of them! They were excellent at capturing the entire day and being everywhere without even noticing they were there (as a good photographer should be). We are beyond ecstatic with how our photos have turned out, they are truly perfect. I would highly recommend Holii and Ash and am so grateful to have had them capture our special day.
