Absolutely incredible!!! Emett is everything you want in a wedding photographer! Not only did he give us several amazing location options for our elopement, he made the planning process EASY! We ended up choosing to elope at our family home, yet Emett still let us know of a beautiful place to drive out to and take some photos after our first look and quick ceremony. I had consulted with several PNW photographers, but choosing Emett was the easiest decision to make for our elopement. We love him so much that we plan to have him back next year for the big celebration!! He made the day fun, made us laugh, and made our day everything we wanted it to be. It honestly felt like having family. 10/10, but would give an 11 if I could!
Aside from my fiancé, Emett was the best decision I made on the day of my elopement. He was the perfect person, to capture the most perfect day. He helped us with our destination elopement from beginning to end. He left each conversation better than it started with the overwhelming feeling of excitement. We knew that he had everything handled and we just needed to show up and he would take care of the rest. Emett is not only a great professional to work with, he truly made you feel like you were family/friends. His commitment and attention to us, and our day, was not unnoticed. Not only will I have the most perfect photos from the most perfect day that he created for us, but we'll have a friend for life.
Emett photographed our wedding in July. From our first contact everything was easy. He kept to his commitments and his flexibility and professionalism are top notch. But the photos! We were almost immediately provided with a “sneak peek,” and our minds were blown. Emett’s artistic ability is beyond anything we imagined or expected. He captured everything, yet nobody can remember seeing him floating among our guests. Our wedding party was pretty large and it would have been easy to have our photo session go off the rails. Emett kept us all in line with grace and kindness, and his skillful eye brought out the beauty in everyone there. Would absolutely work with him again.

We first spoke with Emett over the phone after we inquired on his website about our Washington state elopement. Within a few minutes of talking with him, I think my husband and I both had a strong feeling he was going to be our photographer. He was so easy to talk to, and it seriously felt like he was one of our friends within the first 10 minutes of chatting. Having a photographer who was kind, laid back, and fun was super important to us- Emett fit that perfectly!
When it came to the planning process, he was so helpful!! We were coming to Washington from Maryland to get married, so we really didn’t have a ton of insight on locations or vendors in the WA area. Emett helped us pick out our ceremony spot, as well as some amazing places to take incredible photos at sunset. Plus gave us plenty of back-up options just incase we needed them. He also provided a list of vendors to help us narrow our searching. If I had any questions along the way he was super quick to answer them, and his communication was awesome!
On our actual elopement day, Emett killed it. He was professional, but also super personable and fun. Since he had been so involved in the planning process, once we met in person it felt like we were already good friends! Throughout the day he posed us and guided us through photos. He brought a super encouraging positive attitude that made Ryan and I feel even more comfortable.
THE DAY AFTER our elopement, Emett already had sneak peeks for us! And ya’ll they are amaaaazing. We couldn’t be happier with the sneak peeks we’ve received so far. All our family and friends can’t get over how beautiful they are either.
Emett’s photography obviously speaks for itself (it’s stunning duh), but his kind personality, creativity, and awesome customer service really made our experience amazing. We had the most incredible stress free wedding day, and Emett played a large role in making that happen.

Emett is talented, kind, and an absolute blast to work with. His creativity was so fun to witness and be a part of, but he was also intentional about getting all the shots that a family would normally desire from their wedding photos. He communicated so clearly and was extremely proactive throughout the process. He made everything so easy and even included a helpful PDF packet with suggestions and fun ideas for the wedding planning and the day itself. I would recommend Emett any day of the week to anyone looking for an exceptional photographer.
We reached out to Emett with a bit of a crazy plan: “can you come photograph our wedding on Mt Rainier? Oh yeah and we’re going to bring our dog and our family. Oh yeah and we’re going to run around the mountain on the Wonderland Trail right after. Does that work for you?”
Most photographers didn’t even respond to our outreach. Not only was Emett one of the few who did respond, but he met us with the hype, energy, enthusiasm and excitement that we wanted to work with him on this crazy adventure.
From there, Emett was a breeze to work with. He did all of the research and found us the perfect location for our ceremony, making permit submission super easy. He thought through all of the open details on timelines and made us feel calm when we were uncertain about things. He provided all of the vendor recommendations, including Miere Catering, who was another godsend for our perfect day.
Day of, he came right in and did his thing as if he was one of the family. We all felt so comfortable around him, which is made evident in the candid moments he was able to capture. For our portraits, Emett pivoted and changed plans on the fly so we could maximize time with the mountain out. He knew we wanted to get back to party with our family and he did everything possible to make sure we didn’t feel rushed. At dinner, he captured every moment we were hoping to remember.
BUT IT DOESNT STOP THERE! Emett met us at 4am to take photos of us prepping for our run. He then drove with us to the trailhead, snapped some incredible shots with the full moon, and then DROVE AROUND THE MOUNTAIN, hung out with our family for who knows how many hours lol, and met us for more photos halfway. I mean, WHAT PHOTOGRAPHER DOES THIS?!!?
Finally, Emett sent us the most amazing sneak peak. There were so many incredible shots, honestly we would’ve been happy even if that was the whole album lol. What I love about Emett’s photography style is that he turns candid moments into art. He knows when to focus on people vs focusing on the surroundings. He appreciates the event of marriage for how special each moment is and captures those moments verses over-posing.

Emett is an absolute gem! We worked with Emett for our recent PNW adventure elopement and he made us feel so comfortable and relaxed we could barely tell we were being photographed. It felt like we had an old friend with us all day which was really important because it was only us, our planner, officiant and Emett. He captured beautiful memories for us while allowing us to feel in the moment the entire time. We did a sunrise hike the day before our elopement which was such a fun adventure and a good way to get to know him before the big day. He is an incredibly talented photographer but also a wonderful person and great hang- could not recommend more!
