Two Families, One Winery, and a Love Story Worth Celebrating All Week: Raveena & Vito's Wedding at Villa de Amore

Love Story

Some love stories don't follow a script — they follow a feeling. For Raveena and Vito, that feeling started on a dating app right as the world was reopening, and it never stopped growing.
"We met on Hinge right when COVID restrictions were lifted and knew we would be together forever," Raveena shares. Five years later, that certainty hasn't wavered for a single moment.
The proposal came at a beautiful botanical garden, wrapped in the warmth of family involvement. "I expected it only because my entire family was involved," she laughs, "but he proposed at a beautiful botanical garden. It was beautiful and very sweet."
When they're not celebrating life milestones, Raveena works as a veterinary technician and Vito keeps busy in finance. Together, they decompress with their dogs and movies — a quiet, grounded love beneath all the celebration.

About Your Wedding

From the very beginning, Raveena and Vito knew they wanted something more than a single ceremony. "I wanted something inclusive and unique," Raveena explains. Their vision was bold: a full week of celebrations that would bring together a traditional Punjabi wedding with Vito's Italian heritage — so that both families could truly participate, not just attend.
"We wanted to have a traditional Punjabi wedding but have both families celebrate the entire week together so Vito's Italian family could also get involved in the traditions. We wanted to end the week with a traditional Western wedding to honor Vito's Italian roots."
The result was something neither family had experienced before — a week-long celebration where cultures didn't just coexist, they danced together. With 150 guests, a year of planning, and a winery backdrop, their concept was simple: making a traditional Indian wedding everyone could understand and enjoy.
The invitations were a personal touch — designed by Raveena and Vito themselves. The wedding rings came easily. "We both knew what we wanted so it wasn't too hard." And in a quietly moving detail, Raveena wore a thumb ring that had belonged to Vito's late grandmother — a small piece of his family carried close throughout the entire day.

Bride Getting Ready

For her Indian ceremony, Raveena chose Sabyasachi — the iconic Indian couturier whose work speaks fluently in both heritage and high fashion. The search took her all the way to Delhi, and it took a while to find, but the right dress always does. For the Western ceremony, she stepped into a veil and Bella Belle shoes, completing a look that moved effortlessly between two worlds.
Her bouquet was a waterfall arrangement in sunset colors — designed by the venue's own florists and perfectly echoing the warm palette woven throughout the entire celebration.
The person who made getting ready feel like a moment in itself was Harvey's Bridal Academy. "She made my experience amazing — she was so lovely and fantastic. She's truly a lovely person inside and out and so talented."

Groom Getting Ready

Vito prepared at the same location as Raveena — Villa de Amore holding both of them in the hours before they became husband and wife. There's something quietly intimate about that: two people getting ready in the same place, each carrying their own anticipation, not yet knowing what the other is feeling.

First Look

The first look took place at Villa de Amore — and it delivered exactly the kind of moment that makes wedding photographers hold their breath. When Vito turned and saw Raveena for the first time, his thought was immediate and uncomplicated: how beautiful she was. And Raveena? She was simply overcome with excitement — the feeling of finally being here, in this moment, with him.

Photoshoot Before The Ceremony

With the ceremony still ahead of them, Raveena and Vito moved through the grounds of Villa de Amore for their pre-ceremony portraits. The winery's natural beauty — golden vines, warm stone, open sky — needed no embellishment.

Ceremony

The ceremony at Villa de Amore was everything they'd hoped for — personal, warm, and full of meaning. Raveena walked down the aisle to "Young and Beautiful" by Lana Del Rey, a song that felt written for the moment. And walking ahead of her, in the most charming floral girl debut imaginable, was her dog Leia.
"Our officiant made our vows really personal," Raveena recalls — and that personalisation was everything. In a week filled with rituals, the ceremony was where it all became undeniably theirs.
"I will always remember seeing both our friends and families celebrating together," she says. That image — Punjabi and Italian, old friends and new family, all in one place — is the one she'll carry longest.

Photoshoot After The Ceremony

After the ceremony, the couple stayed close to Villa de Amore for their portraits — now husband and wife, letting the feeling settle in. Sunny Dhiman Photography captured the glow of the newly married pair against the winery's warm, golden landscape — and what stands out in every frame is how understood the couple felt. Sunny has a rare ability to read the energy of the people in front of him: unhurried, intuitive, and completely attuned to the specific mood of the day. He didn't show up with a shot list — he showed up with genuine interest in who Raveena and Vito are, and it translated into images that feel alive rather than posed. The warmth, the light, the quiet joy of two people finally on the other side of the day they'd been planning for a year — all of it is there, frame after frame. The photographs don't just document what happened. They feel like Raveena and Vito.

Wedding Venue & Decor

Vito had always dreamed of getting married at a winery. So when the couple set out to find their venue, they toured winery after winery across San Diego — until Villa de Amore stopped them in their tracks. "We fell in love with Villa de Amore," Raveena says simply — and honestly, the name says it all.
The decor carried through the week in a palette of sunset colors: warm terracottas, burnt oranges, dusty pinks, and golds that caught the California light beautifully. The waterfall bouquet echoed the same warmth. Personalized toasting glasses added a finishing touch that felt intimate without being overdone.

Real Wedding Couple's Advice

"We loved Villa De Amore. Our advice to anyone booking here is to utilize all the amazing things they provide on site. We didn't have to add any extra to the decor because Villa De Amore provides so much already."

Reception

The reception was a celebration in every sense of the word. Raveena and Vito took their first dance to "Say You Won't Let Go" by James Arthur — a song that felt like a promise made out loud. The bar served a lychee martini for the bride and an old fashioned martini for the groom, each drink quietly telling their own story.
The wedding cake came from April's Cakes, a beloved small business out of Los Angeles — and in a week full of meaningful choices, this one turned out to matter more than expected. "Food," Raveena notes, when asked what detail surprised her most. It's always the food.
What did Raveena want every guest to walk away feeling? "That they had an amazing time." By every measure, they did.
