In the height of summer 2020, on July 22nd, a fateful meeting would change Sandy and David's lives forever. Like many modern love stories, their journey began when David drove to Sandy's city for their first meeting. "We felt immediately like if we would know us since forever," Sandy recalls with a smile. "Ever since we knew the journey for us has just started." Their instant connection blossomed into a beautiful relationship that would lead them to their dream wedding four years later.
After 14 months of careful planning, Sandy and David chose to celebrate their love at the magnificent Chateau de Champlatreux in Paris. They envisioned an intimate celebration with 70 of their closest friends and family, creating a perfect blend of elegance and personal touches that would make their day uniquely theirs.
The beautiful blue room at Chateau de Champlatreux provided the perfect setting for Sandy's bridal preparations. "It really was a true love match with the dress," Sandy shares about her stunning gown from Lin-Riehl Hochzeitshaus in Germany.
Her bridal look was completed with elegant accessories, including Christian Louboutin shoes that added that perfect touch of luxury. The enchanting bridal bouquet, crafted by Atelier Mimoza Paris, perfectly complemented the wedding's romantic atmosphere.
The morning preparations were made even more special by the presence of her mother and bridesmaids. Speaking of her bridesmaids' attire, Sandy made a bold yet brilliant choice: "The bridesmaids had different dresses but all in fuchsia to bring some color to the wedding," she explains. "It was a bold move to choose such a vibrant color but the result was perfect." This daring decision added a vibrant pop of color that would beautifully contrast with the chateau's elegant backdrop.
David and his groomsmen prepared for the day in another wing of the chateau. The groom chose an elegant Dior tuxedo, perfectly complementing the grandeur of their venue. The historic setting provided an impressive backdrop for the morning preparations, creating memorable moments for both the couple and their photographers.
The garden ceremony was a picture of romance, with the chateau's magnificent fountain serving as their backdrop. The musical choices added a personal touch to the proceedings – the groom entered to the powerful "Heart of Courage" by Thomas Bergersen, while Sandy made her entrance to the Beatles' timeless "And I Love Her," creating an unforgettable moment for everyone present.
The couple created a stunning visual journey throughout their celebration. "The colors of the wedding were a light pastel rainbow going from the pink to the purple and blue with fuchsia touches," Sandy explains. "The setting for the ceremony was all about transparency to enhance the beauty of the fountain while the setting for the dinner was more traditional with a classic white and gold look."
The reception was filled with unforgettable moments that perfectly captured the couple's unique story. The evening began with the couple's first dance to Johann Strauss's "The Blue Danube Waltz, Op 314," as they gracefully swept across the floor in true chateau style.
However, the most unexpected and memorable moment of the celebration was the Chinese lions dance, a special surprise that held deep meaning for David. "As we aren’t Asian, nor do we have any cultural relations, David really wanted us to have the Chinese lions dance on our wedding," Sandy explains. "The reason for that is, he grow up doing martial arts and has witnessed the dance since his childhood. The drums give him positive power." The performance by Paris Lion Sport was a hit, with Sandy adding, "All the guests enjoyed the show."
The entire celebration was beautifully captured by Morgane Ball Photography, whom Sandy cannot praise enough. "I would recommend Morgane Ball Photography to my best friend! Morgane is the best photographer you can have for your big day!" she enthusiastically shares. "Not only are all pictures just phenomenal, but she is also such a kind person. You get the feeling that you and your partner are really special to her. It feels like being friends. She understands the kind of pictures that you want."
Looking back on their magical day at Chateau de Champlatreux, Sandy offers some heartfelt advice for future couples: "Enjoy every single moment of the process, and the day of. Time flies so quickly." She emphasizes the importance of selecting the right team of professionals: "Trust the vendors that you chose, they are professional!" This trust certainly paid off for Sandy and David, as each element of their celebration came together perfectly to create an unforgettable day.
