“There were so many key moments it’s hard just to pick one! Walking down the aisle with my dad, marrying my junior high sweetheart, the room reveal that just the two of us got to see, having the best band and dancing all night long with our family and friends are so important memories for us”
Abigal and Ryan met in the 8th grade hallway through mutual friends and started dating about a month later. They had been dating for 12 years before they finally decided to tie the knot.
On the day when Ryan proposed he seemed a little off but Abigail didn’t ask him what was wrong. He offered to go walk on the beach before the dinner.
“As soon as we turned the corner and were going down the Seawall steps I saw this beautiful set up in the sand. Beautiful Pampas grass, white rose petals, champagne and of course a photographer. At that moment I knew what was happening and I said Ryan? And all he could do was giggle and continue to walk me to the beautiful set up. He got down on one knee, said some sweet words and asked me to marry him :)”
They knew they wanted a wedding that would be remembered for years to come. They started planning their dream wedding a year in advance, carefully selecting every detail from the flowers to the menu. Together, they worked to merge their styles and create a wedding that was both romantic and sophisticated.
Abigail’s mom is a caterer in Houston and does so many weddings, so she’s seen it all. The bride was inspired to have a smaller wedding that was intimate and romantic. A smaller wedding was the best decision since they were about to talk with everyone and have the best time with everyone who is so close with the couple.
Abigail worked with Paper Tie Affairs to create these dream invitations. Ryan got a custom-made ring for Abigail and his ring is from Manly Bands.
“My grandma gave me a ring that was hers about a year before she passed away and I have worn it every day since she gave it to me. I also had her favorite brooch on my wedding bouquet.”
Abigail had always dreamed of finding the perfect wedding dress. She had visited several bridal boutiques, trying on dress after dress, but none of them felt quite right.
As she stepped into Lovely Bridal in Houston, Abigail was feeling a mix of excitement and nerves. She was determined to find her dream dress, but she wasn't sure if it was even out there. Her eyes fell on a stunning Rita Vinieris design.
It was about the 5th one she tried on, but this dress was different. It felt like it had been made just for her. She had found the perfect dress for her special day, and she couldn't wait to see the look on her future husband's face when he saw her walking down the aisle.
She added sparkly veil, simple nude straps heels with some sparkle and drop earrings to her final look. Bride’s getting ready took place at the Grand Galvez.
Abigail had always been drawn to the delicate beauty of orchids and the timeless elegance of white roses, so she chose them for her wedding bouquet. She worked with the talented florist Debbie Bridges to create a stunning arrangement of the two flowers, with the orchids providing a touch of exoticism and the roses adding a classic touch. The bouquet perfectly complemented Abigail's dreamy wedding dress and completed her bridal look. Dear Cleo designed bridesmaids’ dresses.
Ryan wanted to look dashing and sophisticated on his wedding day, and he found the perfect tuxedo at Men's Wearhouse. He worked with a knowledgeable consultant to select the ideal fit and style for his body type and personal taste. With the tuxedo expertly tailored to his measurements, Ryan felt confident and polished as he stood at the altar, waiting for his beautiful bride to appear.
As Abigail stepped out of the bridal suite, her heart was beating fast with anticipation. She couldn't wait to see Ryan and share this special moment with him. They had decided to have a first look in front of the Grand Galvez.
As Ryan turned around and saw his bride for the first time, his breath caught in his throat. She was even more beautiful than he had imagined.
Abigail felt a surge of emotion as she looked into Ryan's eyes. He was so handsome in his tailored tuxedo, and she knew that he was the only man she wanted to spend the rest of her life with.
Abigail and Ryan were eager to capture their special day in photographs. They had chosen two iconic locations for their photoshoot - The Grand Galvez and First Lutheran.
Starting at The Grand Galvez, the newlyweds posed for photos, taking advantage of the venue's stunning architecture and elegant décor. They were thrilled to see their vision of a classic and timeless wedding come to life in the pictures.
They also headed to First Lutheran, their beloved church where they had exchanged their vows. The couple had spent countless hours planning and preparing for their wedding day, and they wanted to commemorate their union in this place.
As they looked back on the photoshoot, Abigail and Ryan felt grateful for the memories they had created. The images captured the joy, love, and beauty of their special day, and they would treasure them for years to come.
The day of the wedding finally arrived, and it was everything they had hoped for and more. The ceremony was held in First Lutheran Church in Galveston, with Abigail walking down the aisle in a breathtaking gown.
As Abigail walked down the aisle to the sound of the Bridal Chorus, her heart was full of emotion. She couldn't wait to stand beside Ryan and exchange vows in front of their loved ones.
For both Abigail and Ryan, saying their vows was the most special moment of the day. It was a declaration of their love and commitment to each other, and they felt a deep sense of connection as they spoke from the heart.
Abigail and Ryan had always been drawn to the timeless elegance of a black and white color palette, and it was no surprise that they chose it for their wedding. The classic combination of black and white created a sleek and sophisticated look that perfectly complemented their grand venue.
The floral arrangements, decor, and even the wedding cake all featured the striking color scheme, creating a cohesive and polished look throughout the event.
“We had our logo on napkins, drink toppers, drink charms, on the dance floor, our last name on drink stir sticks, customs Texas shaped ice cubes, custom chick fil a bags for end of night snack, customize label on our cigars.”
Abigail and Ryan knew that they wanted a wedding venue that was both romantic and unique, and they found the perfect spot - The Bryan Museum.
The venue's blend of historic charm and modern amenities captured their hearts from the moment they walked through the doors. Everything there created an ambiance of romance and nostalgia that perfectly suited their vision for their big day.
From the elegant cocktail hour to the candlelit reception, every detail was carefully crafted to reflect their love story and create lasting memories for everyone in attendance.
In the end, Abigail and Ryan were thrilled with their decision to choose black and white for their wedding. It was a timeless and elegant choice that captured the essence of their love and commitment to each other.
The reception was held in the Bryan Museum, adorned with soft floral arrangements and twinkling lights. Their 135 guests were treated to a delicious dinner and danced the night away to live music. Abigail and Ryan shared their first dance as a married couple surrounded by their loved ones. Sarah Orr from Let there be cake made an unforgettable cake.
It was a day filled with love, laughter, and joy, and one that they would cherish forever.
