Ten minutes from Casale degli Aranci sits one of the best-preserved Greek temples in the world. Most wedding venues in Sicily offer a view of the island - this one offers a rehearsal dinner within walking distance of ancient history.

Ten Minutes From a Greek Temple

One thing that makes us truly distinctive is our proximity to the Temple of Segesta, one of the best-preserved Greek temples in the world, just ten minutes away,

the team explains. "It's not every day a couple can plan a rehearsal dinner or a day-after excursion around a piece of ancient history like that.

The property's other neighbor carries its own historical weight. "We're also close to Pianto Romano, the hill where Garibaldi famously declared 'Qui si fa l'Italia o si muore' during the Expedition of the Thousand," they note, "adding another layer of historical significance to the setting."

The Farmhouse That Kept Growing With Its Weddings

"Casale degli Aranci began as a small 1860s farmhouse set among the vineyards of western Sicily, during the era of Bourbon rule, nestled in the countryside near the ancient Temple of Segesta. The courtyard was later restored, and eventually the entire property was rebuilt from the ground up - a transformation that included adding original Apulian rose windows and refining the details of our outdoor lounge areas."

More than 1,000 events have taken place there since, including weddings, and growth has tracked what couples actually ask for.

The venue has evolved alongside our couples' needs - from expanding our outdoor spaces to accommodate larger celebrations, to developing a fully tailored culinary experience that reflects authentic Sicilian tradition,

they add.

"What hasn't changed is our commitment to making every couple feel like the property was designed just for them."

Sicilian Carts, a Rainstorm, and a Venezuelan Hora Loca

The venue's very first wedding set the tone for what Casale degli Aranci could be.

"Our very first wedding here had a full Sicilian theme - little carts, string lights, and the feel of a traditional village festival, with 500 guests. Instead of a classic seated menu, we set up traditional festival food stands and a rotating buffet, with Sicilian folk dancers performing with tambourines - more like a sagra than a formal wedding dinner."

Weather tested the team in a different way entirely. "Another wedding tested our flexibility in the best way: unexpected rain meant we had to take down the outdoor set-up and rebuild everything indoors - all within about an hour and a half, ready before the couple even arrived," they say.

A third wedding brought a different culture's traditions onto the same grounds. "We also hosted a beautiful Venezuelan wedding for 500 guests, which included the hora loca, a lively Venezuelan tradition, and saw the cake cut before dinner rather than after," the team explains.

We built a stage for the celebration and served a menu blending Italian and Venezuelan dishes made with local ingredients, to honor both sides of the couple's heritage.

The Celebration Moves With the Light

Casale degli Aranci isn't one setting - it's several, meant to be combined rather than chosen between.

"We have several distinct spaces, and couples can mix and match them based on their vision. Our two gardens are where we usually set up civil and symbolic ceremonies, as well as the welcome aperitif and dessert buffet - natural, romantic spaces enhanced by soft lighting in the evening."

The courtyard offers something older. "Our historic courtyard, with its traditional Sicilian architecture and stonework, offers a more timeless and elegant atmosphere, ideal for couples drawn to a classic, storied setting."

Dinner usually happens by the water. "The area alongside the pool is where we typically host dinner - relaxed by day, magical at sunset - with our dehors corner right next to it hosting the appetizer buffet. We have an indoor hall as a backup in case of rain, so the celebration is never at the mercy of the weather."

Light shifts that whole layout throughout the day. "Sicily's light changes constantly, and so does the venue. Golden hour over the pool area, with the hills in the background, is a moment we see take couples' breath away every single time - it's not something photos fully capture until you're standing there," the team reflects. Evenings bring a different mood entirely.

The gardens lit with string lights beneath the olive trees create an almost fairytale atmosphere, when the gardens are at their most beautiful and the warm evenings are ideal for outdoor ceremonies and receptions under the stars.

The Gazebo Nobody Plans Around

A handful of corners tend to surprise couples once they find them. "Our stone gazebo, wrapped in flowers, is one of the most romantic corners of the property - the kind of spot that feels made for a stolen kiss or a quiet moment just between the two of them before the celebration begins," the team says.

A smaller detail sits closer to the entrance.

"There's also our historic courtyard, and a small kiosk near the entrance that many guests don't notice at first but which has its own quiet charm."

There Is Usually a Pause Before “This Is It”

"Almost every couple has the same reaction when they first walk through the gardens toward the pool area, with the hills opening up behind it - there's a pause, almost always followed by 'this is it. It's rarely something they can put into words right away."

The view extends further than the property itself. "Guests often describe the feeling of being immersed in untouched, cinematic landscapes - in the distance you can even see Pianto Romano - and many are struck the moment they arrive, greeted by the imposing entrance with its palm trees."

That first reaction tends to bring people back. "Some couples' relatives have chosen the venue again for their own celebrations, with completely different set-ups, and we've welcomed former guests back as attendees of friends' weddings here too. A few couples have even returned to celebrate their children's baptisms after their wedding."

The Menu Is Part of the Entertainment

Casale degli Aranci makes all its food in-house. "We offer in-house catering built around an immersive Sicilian culinary experience - live cooking stations, hand-stretched mozzarella, fresh pasta, seafood and land specialties, and a live cannoli station for dessert," the team explains.

Every menu is fully customizable to reflect each couple's tastes and traditions, so it never feels like a standard banquet menu - it's part of the entertainment itself.

The in-house team provides catering exclusively, while the venue is happy to work with external vendors for other services. "We work with a carefully selected network of trusted local suppliers, built over years of collaboration, which allows us to guarantee quality and smooth coordination on the day. At the same time, we understand that some couples arrive with their own vision or vendors they've already fallen in love with, and we're happy to work alongside outside suppliers to bring that vision to life."

Accommodation is built into the package rather than left to couples to arrange. "Our wedding package includes a one-night stay in a 4-star hotel for the couple, and we assist with accommodation recommendations nearby for guests, along with transfers," the team notes. Pricing follows a similarly bundled logic. "Our wedding menu starts from €130-140 per guest and includes a full food and drinks service. Exclusive use of the venue is available from €1,000," they explain.

"For international couples, we've also created a dedicated wedding package designed to make planning from abroad as seamless as possible. It includes our catering service, exclusive use of the venue, ceremony setup within the venue, floral design, one night's accommodation in a four-star hotel, and transfers."

Getting there is straightforward, too. "We're conveniently located about 45 minutes from Palermo Airport and 30 minutes from Trapani Airport, with on-site parking for guests and suppliers. The venue is also accessible for guests with reduced mobility," the team says.

"We assist with transfers, so international guests arriving from the airport never have to worry about the details."

Looking back across more than a thousand events, the team says what couples hear most often isn't about any single detail. "Casale degli Aranci doesn't just host their wedding - it becomes part of their story," they reflect.

Between the authentic Sicilian hospitality, a culinary experience that goes far beyond a typical wedding menu, and a setting shaped by centuries of history, we aim to give every couple something they couldn't have anywhere else in the world.
