From a young age, Clara was always drawn to the creative arts, particularly fashion. “I was studying at fashion school when I discovered my love for wedding photography,” she shares. It was during these early days that her fascination with weddings blossomed. Clara recalls how weddings always captivated her, and with her background in fashion, she found a natural transition into photography. “Weddings have fascinated me since I was a little girl, and now I get to combine my background in fashion with photography, bringing a keen eye for attire, symmetry, and details to every wedding.”
Her move to Vienna felt like the perfect setting to further her career. “Moving to Vienna felt like the perfect fit for both my personal style and my work—it truly is the most livable city in the world!”
Now, with five years of experience, Clara continues to evolve her craft while staying true to her signature style. “My photography style is a blend of timeless, documentary storytelling with an editorial touch,” Clara explains. Her goal is to capture moments in a chic, contemporary, and elegant way. Her unique blend of documentary and editorial photography allows her to freeze moments in time that feel both genuine and artful.
Clara’s keen eye for detail is matched by her precision with equipment. She works with two powerhouse cameras: the Sony Alpha 7III and Sony Alpha 7IV. Her go-to lenses include the Sigma Art 35mm 1.4 and Sony GM 24-70 2.8, allowing her to adapt to the varying needs of each wedding day. For lighting, Clara relies on the Godox V1 flash.
Post-production is another area where Clara’s meticulous approach shines through. She uses both Lightroom and Photoshop for post-processing. Her goal is to enhance the natural beauty of each image, making sure the final product feels timeless and true to the moment.
What Clara enjoys most about being a wedding photographer is the connection she builds with her clients. “Building a connection with couples and capturing one of the most important days of their lives is truly rewarding,” she reveals. “I love how this job allows me to meet so many incredible people—from vendors and fellow photographers to the couples themselves.”
Her work is about more than just capturing images; it’s about preserving memories. “There’s something magical about freezing a moment in time, knowing these photos will hold immense value for the couple and their families, especially in many years to come.”
Every couple is unique, and Clara ensures her approach is tailored to their vision. “Whether it’s meeting in person or having several video calls leading up to the wedding, I prioritize forming a connection with the couple while offering helpful tips to enhance their photos,” she explains. One way she does this is by creating a custom mood board for each wedding. “I also create a custom moodboard for each wedding to ensure the vision aligns perfectly with their style and preferences.”
Her flexibility extends to customizing photography packages to meet each couple’s specific needs. Every wedding is unique, so Clara is always happy to work with couples to tailor a package that suits their needs and ensures they get the most out of their day.
Clara also offers helpful advice for couples as they prepare for their big day. “Look for inspiration, then meet your photographer over video chat or grab coffee on the day of to share your vision and make things feel more relaxed,” she suggests. She emphasizes that the focus should always remain on what matters most: the couple’s journey together. “The focus should be on what truly matters: you and your partner’s journey together!”
Destination weddings are a particular favorite of Clara’s, as they allow her to explore new and exciting environments while doing what she loves. When asked about her favorite destination, Clara beams, “Puglia is a favorite.” Its picturesque landscapes and romantic ambiance make it an ideal backdrop for the weddings she captures.
