Kreativ Wedding, founded in 2012 by Riccardo and his wife Anne, revolutionized the wedding photography industry in Germany by becoming the first team to offer both photography and videography services. This innovation quickly set them apart in a saturated market. Over time, they expanded their team, which now includes Valerie as a photographer, Annika as the client manager and 2nd shooter, Anna as a 2nd shooter, and Marco as the videographer. Anne’s approach to photography is deeply rooted in authenticity and capturing the essence of each moment. "I would describe my photography style as very natural and authentic. I primarily work in a reportage style, capturing moments as naturally as possible. I love seizing candid moments, focusing on showing our couples the fun and emotion of their special day," she explains. Her goal is not just to take pictures but to seize moments as they happen.

What sets Anne apart is her love for blending modern digital techniques with an analog aesthetic. "I am inspired by analog images," she says. "I strive to infuse my pictures with a touch of retro analog charm." This blend of styles gives Kreativ Wedding’s portfolio a timeless yet modern feel, a balance that resonates with their clients.

For Anne, the most rewarding part of being a photographer is the freedom it provides. "I cherish my freedom, especially the opportunity to photograph beautiful and emotional stories of happy people all around the world," she reflects. "I love that I truly enjoy my job and couldn't imagine doing anything else."

The Technology Behind the Art

While Anne thrives in the artistic side of photography, Riccardo ensures that Kreativ Wedding stays ahead of the curve when it comes to technology. "My husband is a true technology enthusiast," Anne laughs. "Which is why we have practically every camera and lens available." However, Riccardo is not just a tech expert—he’s also a real artist with his films, blending his love for technology with a deep artistic vision. 

Anne’s primary tools of the trade include the Sony a1 and Sony a9III, paired with the Sony 50mm 1.4, 24mm 1.4, and Tamron 35-150mm 2-2.8 lenses. But it doesn’t stop with just the cameras. Kreativ Wedding also uses Profoto flashes to ensure perfect lighting in any condition.

Personalized Client Experience

At Kreativ Wedding, every client receives a tailored experience. "I always ask my clients about their wishes beforehand," Anne explains. "While most of them love our style as it is, we still discuss what they are most looking forward to, which photos are particularly important to them, and their preferences for editing."

Some clients provide mood boards or specific examples of what they want. The team adds, "Sometimes they even share a mood board. Typically, the requested changes are minor, such as reducing grain, enhancing sharpness, or making the images less analog. However, the majority of our clients trust us completely."

Kreativ Wedding offers full-day coverage for every wedding, ensuring that no moment is missed. "We don’t strictly count the hours," the team says. "We typically cover around 10 hours." This flexible, client-centered approach means they can capture every aspect of the wedding day without rushing or cutting corners.

"After a Zoom call, we create a personalized offer for each couple and can assemble both small and large teams to meet their needs," they emphasize. 

For couples planning their photoshoot, Kreativ Wedding advises: “We recommend that couples dress in matching, classic, and timeless outfits that aren't too flashy. This helps create a cohesive and elegant look in the photographs.”

The Art of Destination Weddings

Kreativ Wedding is well-known for its specialization in destination weddings, and the team are seasoned travelers. "Living in both Germany and Italy, most of our weddings take place in Italy," Anne says. "However, we spend the entire summer traveling throughout Europe and occasionally worldwide for weddings."

They use their downtime to travel further afield. " Outside of the European wedding season, we love traveling to destinations like Asia, Australia, New Zealand, or exploring France in our VW bus," they share.

With over a decade of experience, Kreativ Wedding continues to evolve, but one thing remains constant: the team’s passion for telling love stories. "With 20 - 25 weddings a year I feel still good," Anne says. That’s the sweet spot where Kreativ Wedding can give each couple the attention and care they deserve.
