“I knew from a very young age that this was the career I wanted to pursue. I was inspired by the design and logistics part of planning events. During my time at university I worked for a catering company gaining as much on-the-field experience,” Jessica Masi shares, reflecting on the early days. With a degree in Special Events Management and invaluable experience gained through internships and positions with top event planning companies in New York City, the foundation was laid for what would become a thriving enterprise. “My first wedding was a 12-person wedding on Crandon Beach… After about a year in business my husband Michael joined full-time,” they recount, marking the start of a remarkable journey.

The Joy of Creation

When asked about the most rewarding aspect of wedding planning, the answer is clear: “There are so many aspects to the planning that we love. Probably the most fun was the design process when we listened to our couples on their hopes and vision for their day and realized it for them through a design deck and renderings. Then seeing it all flawlessly come together on the wedding day!” The team at Masi Events cherishes the opportunity to bring a couple's vision to life, from initial sketches to the stunning realization on the wedding day. It's a process that not only demands creativity but a deep understanding of each couple's unique story.

“Trusted planning and effortless design for an unforgettable event,” states the founder, summarizing the company's ethos. Masi Events is drawn to weddings that speak of understated elegance, where the experience of the couple and their guests is paramount. This approach is encapsulated in their services, which are as comprehensive as they are customizable. “We offer full-service planning and like to get started with our couples at the beginning when they are starting to select their venue and date. We offer enhancements to our full-service wedding if our involvement for the pre- or post-events is requested,” they explain, highlighting their commitment to personalized experiences.

A Memorable Milestone

Among the many weddings Masi Events has orchestrated, one stands out: a wedding on a private island. “Logistically it was a challenging wedding to plan.  From managing private air charters for all the guests and vendors to bringing every last fork on a cargo ship. This was so rewarding at the end when we saw it all come together beautifully,” the founder recalls. It was an event that tested their skills and ultimately proved the team's ability to turn even the most daunting challenges into a beautifully executed celebration.

Words of Wisdom

For those embarking on the journey of wedding planning, the advice is heartfelt: “Enjoy the process. The wedding can go by so quickly that it’s important to enjoy the journey to the aisle.” It's a sentiment that speaks volumes about the philosophy of Masi Events, where the journey is just as important as the destination.

Navigating Challenges

In the world of wedding planning, challenges are inevitable. From budget constraints to the complexities of logistics, Masi Events has faced them all. Yet, their approach remains unwavering: “Be realistic and set the budget in advance even before the venue. It’s important to know before booking your venue that you still have the budget for the other items required for a wedding. We have seen it before when couples splurge almost their entire budget on the venue.” This practical advice is coupled with a commitment to clear communication and a deep understanding of each couple's vision and needs.

Masi Events, with its blend of creativity, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to excellence, continues to redefine the landscape of wedding planning. From the serene beaches of Miami to the secluded luxury of private islands, their journey is a testament to the power of dreams, the beauty of love, and the unforgettable moments that weddings can bring into our lives.
