Villa Il Labirinto
Villa Il Labirinto

An eighteenth-century Villa that preserves the memory of a medieval castle. This is the peculiarity of Villa Il Labirinto, an elegant and exclusive historic residence on the outskirts of Brescia. Surrounded by poplars, hornbeams and centuries-old plants, the Villa was designed by the architect Turbini on the remains of an ancient medieval castle, recalled by the moat populated by fish and water lilies and its drawbridges. Villa Il Labirinto represents a unicum in the history of architecture, gathering in itself the typical style of a medieval castle and together that of a sumptuous eighteenth-century villa. A characteristic, this, that makes it an unparalleled setting for any high-level wedding reception. Despite being located a few kilometers from the historic center of Brescia, the Villa is completely immersed in greenery. Crossing the majestic drawbridge at the entrance, the newlyweds will be greeted by the chirping of birds, ducks wandering in the moat and hares pirouetting in the park, and will immediately be catapulted into a suggestive medieval atmosphere that will transform the wedding day into a daydream. The courtyard of Villa Il Labirinto represents the ideal setting to enjoy the welcome aperitif, with its elegant portico with tall Doric columns and a garden at midday enriched by a stone balustrade decorated with a series of classical statues. A spectacular setting, enhanced by the extraordinary nineteenth-century park dominated by a tree-lined avenue over 600 meters long. The avenue, designed by the architect Vincenzo Berenzi, has a particular shape of a troubled exedra, which echoes the colonnade of Piazza San Pietro by Bernini. At its center, a suggestive neoclassical temple and a suggestive maze of hornbeam hedges, from which the Villa took its name. A setting of rare and precious beauty, therefore, capable of transforming the day of the yes into a daydream that will remain forever engraved in the memory of the heart.
