As the mother-of-the-bride, I was completely dissatisfied with the services of this wedding planner.  Promises were made that were not kept, and those services were not fulfilled.  Jen sent  a new wedding planner at the last minute to the rehearsal who was completely incompetent and had no idea of the plans that were made for the service.  This wedding planner then complained to Jen that the wedding party was “heckling” her and she “feared for her safety,” resulting in Jen canceling all services 7 hours before the wedding.  This wedding planner claimed everyone was late for the rehearsal, but three people who were flying in had delayed flights, so yes, they were late.  Two of these people actually brought their luggage to the rehearsal. The bride and groom were also late due to troubles with their 6-month-old son, which they texted the wedding planner about. She also claimed the “ceremony flow” was not clear.  I’m sorry, but isn’t that the job of the wedding coordinator to make sure it is “flowing” properly?  Also, my daughter sent everything she wanted in the timeline and the order numerous times, as I was included in those emails.   The last update was for the timeline, and the schedule was sent the Tuesday before the rehearsal. It seems to me that this wedding planner was unprepared and did not prep before the rehearsal. Isn’t a rehearsal used to finalize any type of changes? That is why they call it “rehearsal.”  Any missed communication is on this person’s end, as she could not handle any changes the bride wanted.  Again, that is why they call it “rehearsal” to get all of the bugs out. “Timely communication” is the wedding planner’s responsibility, as that is why we hired your company. There were at least 30 people in the rehearsal room who will attest to the fact this NEVER happened.  On Friday, the day of the wedding, numerous attempts were made to contact Jen by myself and the bride and groom, and Jen NEVER once responded to any of our calls.  We had an issue with the buses.  I was sent  a confirmation email a month ago confirming the wedding party bus would arrive at 4:00, and the bus for the guests would arrive at 5:45-6:00.  The 4:00 bus never arrived.  After finding the confirmation and calling the bus company, the woman said the times of the arrivals had changed that morning to 5:00 PM for both buses? Coincidence?? When I called Jenn on the day of the wedding to talk to her about what the problem was and how to resolve what was happening, she never answered the phone or responded to a text message I sent her.  I spent a lot of money with this company as this was a destination wedding for everyone and she was supposed to give us peace of mind.  This NEVER happened, not to mention she did not abide by the content of her own contract’s “Three Strike Policy.”  I am completely disappointed with how Jen handled herself, how the other wedding planner handled herself, and the lack of communication and understanding of how to go forward. Since I paid a fee of almost $5,000.00, I feel I deserved to know what was happening. The emotional strain Jen placed on the bride and groom hours before their wedding is inexcusable, as I witnessed my daughter’s puffy eyes on her wedding day because she cried all night.  The emotional strain you placed on the father-of-the-bride, mother-of-the-bride, and myself is something none of us have ever experienced before.  I hired your company because I had the confidence you could handle the work, only to be completely bewildered and disappointed.   You took what was supposed to be a wonderful day for bride and groom and family and friends, a day that should have been a happy occasion, and turned it into a complete nightmare.   You NEVER even asked for “the other side of the story,” which there was no other side because NOTHING happened. Jen, you can try to refute all of this and take this posting down, which I’m sure you will, but we all know the truth, including you, so shame on you for trying to hide the truth.

Beware if you plan on hiring Jen and her “team” of wedding planners for your wedding because they don’t know what they’re doing. I was a bridesmaid in a wedding in April and Sydney was the back up wedding planner assigned to my friends wedding and she was terrible. So unprofessional, timid, and unorganized. She couldn’t command the room for the rehearsal and had no clue what she was doing even though my friend gave her everything and more to work with. I’ve never experienced anything so awful. It was clear she wouldn’t be able to do the job because she made an excuse to quit as my friend’s wedding planner the DAY OF HER WEDDING. I’m so glad the bank sided with us after an investigation and my friend got her money back. Can you imagine your wedding planner quitting the day of your wedding? The owner, Jen, took ZERO accountability for her employee and blamed our wedding group which couldn’t have been nicer and more prepared for the festivities. It was a total nightmare for my friend. I wish I had more space to share all of the details because it’s truly unbelievable. Beware of this company. They will act professional in the beginning but clearly cannot follow through.

Jen Harrison provided excellent organization skills and process keeping the event on track and keeping track of all the details. Her ideas were on trend as well as reasonably priced. She has a warm personality, and is talented in working with difficult people or vendors with care and diplomacy. She did our event with grace and professionalism. I highly recommend Jen Harrison to plan an event. She will make it special.

I was so happy to find Jen to help coordinate my wedding day. I knew there were going to be so many details and we needed support to make everything run smoothly. Jen was so personable and helpful. She helped us create lists and get clear on everything that needed to happen beforehand, and then took care of all the details we needed on the day of. I highly recommend Jen and having someone help coordinate your wedding day so you can sit back, relax and enjoy :)

Jen ensured every detail of our special day was taken care of from start to finish! We had done an initial walk through at our venue in 2019 and ended up postponing, she was so flexible in making sure the new date worked! she met with us about a month before our big day and from there she helped with every detail, responded to emails quickly and got in touch with all of our vendors when I couldn't! The rehearsal went seamlessly and the day of was an absolute dream! he made my dream a reality! I could not have asked for anything more!!

Out of all the decisions that went into planning our wedding, having Jen on our team was hands-down one of the best choices we made. Her calm and warm energy, combined with a sharp eye for the nitty-gritty event planning details made it easy for us (and our families!) to relax and truly take in every moment.
We had to plan (and re-plan) our wedding over the course of two years due to Covid and made tons of changes along the way. We ended turning our event into a two-day wedding weekend celebration, which required TONS of extra planning and leg-work. Jen is an incredible listener and collaborator, and helped us bring all of our ideas for a unique, down-to-earth experience to life. If you’re even thinking about hiring Jen to coordinate your wedding - DO IT! You won’t be disappointed!!

Jen and her team were the best decision we could have made for our wedding! If you are looking for a wedding planner that is extremely detail oriented, an incredible communicator, and overall so lovely to work with, you can't go wrong with Piper & Sloan Weddings. I really appreciated the way that Jen went above and beyond to ensure everything on our wedding day went smoothly and was executed to perfection. She was so on top of every detail and created the Wedding Timeline of my dreams! She kept me in the loop when necessarily but also got so much done behind the scenes and communicated with vendors in a way that saved us so much stress and money. Day of Jen kept everyone from the wedding party, family, and vendors on schedule and was so calm and helpful throughout the entire process! She's truly the best, so professional, and fun! 100% recommend.

Jen was everything I could have wanted for a day of coordinator, and then more. All of her communication prior to the wedding left me feeling in good hands on the day of - I never felt like I was waiting for her on anything. On the day, she was a calming presence taking care of all the details throughout - ensuring food placement was correct, welcome tables set up, making sure everyone was where they were supposed to be and taking care of adjustments as necessary. But she and her team were more than 'advertised' duties - when I got back to the hotel room that night I fully expected to walk into the hurricane my bridesmaids and I left, and instead saw a clean room with little decorations from our wedding and flowers moved from the ceremony to the bedside. I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone, and wish her business all the success.
