We had Kate, through Katrina Otter weddings, as our co-ordinator for a September private home marquee wedding. Having been through an intense planning process with a large number of suppliers my one piece of advice for anyone getting married would be to hire Kate. I honestly don’t know how we would have coped without her. She simply gets everything done properly and on time with minimal fuss and without any guest ever even noticing she is there running the show. On top of that she is a pleasure to work with. Truly exceptional - thank you Kate (and Kat).

Kate is an absolute miracle worker, and I mean that literally! We got married on that one insanely wet August Saturday in 2023, you remember the one, and Kate used a frankly incredible amount of magic to make sure that despite the weather, we had the best day of our lives.
There were so many things she did to go above and beyond for us, so it's hard to narrow down some examples, but our original plan for the transport to take me to the church that morning had to be scrapped last minute (and I mean last minute!) and I honestly never noticed a single ripple in how smoothly the day went, regardless. Kate sorted out a new mode of transport, plus my bridesmaids, helped keep me dry on the way to the church and ensured I didn't have a drop of rain on me. Did I mention how last minute this change was??
She also did little things here and there that made a huge difference - my nephew needed feeding halfway through the main course and rather than my sister having to go and feed him, Kate volunteered to do it so that my sister would be able to finish her meal.
If you're reading reviews like I did to see whether or not Kate is worth the investment, please take this as your sign to GO FOR IT. Without Kate to help, our wedding day would have been a chaotic washout. She is honestly so incredible and I will recommend her to everyone thinking about getting married.

We can’t recommend Cara and Katrina Otter weddings highly enough! Cara planned the wedding of our dreams. She has impeccable taste and designed the wedding beautifully, bringing our vision to life. She also made sure we had the best suppliers who went the extra mile for us. Cara is always calm, good humoured and fun and made wedding planning as stress free as possible. Asking her to plan our wedding was the best decision we made!

Huge thank you Kate for everything you did to support us with planning our wedding at Monkey Island Estate. Your knowledge, guidance and attention to detail took all the stress away from us so we could relax and fully enjoy our day. You were such a pro on the day and always one step ahead, even persuading our 3-year old daughter to wear her flower girl dress and giving her ‘jobs’ to do to keep her happy and involved. You really did go above and beyond and we can’t thank you enough for everything you did to make our day perfect.

Kat is truly the most magical, special, kind, efficient, organised and fun wedding planner that ever existed. This review took me WAY too long to write as I couldn’t find the words that would truly describe just how perfect she was/ is. My husband and I knew that we wanted to prioritise enjoying every single moment of the wedding and making sure that stress was minimised/ non-existent for us and our family, so that from the very beginning we could all focus on just how special it all was -  Kat truly allowed us all to do exactly that, whilst also making sure that it was the wedding of our dreams. All you would have to do is give some rough/ vague/ poorly described concept of what you wanted, and within minutes she would be showing you images/ ideas that exactly matched those in your head. She worked perfectly with our parents, knowing exactly how to make them feel at ease, crucially by just being 10 steps ahead of everyone at all times, before anyone could have a chance to worry about it! It truly was the most magical day/ weekend for us, and I am certain that it wouldn’t have been as perfect if Kat had not been a part of it. We even on the day were faced with storm Babet which threatened to cause absolute chaos (our marquee carpet had to be changed twice due to flooding!) but not for a single moment did I feel stressed, as I knew Kat was there just sorting everything out in her incredibly calm but feisty way. She became a true friend through the process and I really hope I will be able to reminisce with her about the whole experience for years to come! I will be recommending her to every single friend who gets engaged in the future!!!! Thank you Kat, we love you!
