I want to offer my review of my incredible trial run with Mar! I am planning my wedding remotely because I live in New Mexico. I planned a weekend trip to SB and scheduled back to back appointments all weekend since it was the only time I would have to meet with my vendors until the day of my wedding.

I had originally had my hair and makeup booked with a different company who did my trial run on Sunday. This company did a terrible job, burned/ruined my extensions, and my makeup was awful. My flight out of SB left Tuesday so Monday morning I began frantically calling every salon in SB to see if they could fit me in for a trial run before I left and the only salon that would fit me in on such short notice was TEAM Hair & Makeup. Mar at team hair and makeup saved the day and stayed late into Monday night in order to do a trial run for me before I left town Tuesday morning. She not only saved me from having to make another trip back to SB but did an INCREDIBLE job at my trial and then stayed even later into the night offering some great advice on preparing for my wedding.

I am beyond excited and grateful to have her for my wedding in July and will post pictures of my wedding photos when they arrive to show how talented Mar and and the rest of the team is. It is rare to find a company like TEAM Hair & Makeup who cares so deeply about their clients and truly goes above and beyond. Thank you SO very much TEAM Hair & Makeup!!

I agree with the comment below...DREAM TEAM. My experience with TEAM started with a trial with Mar. Everyone knows that the most awkward part about getting hair/makeup done is having to give feedback if you don't like something....with Mar, she encourages your feedback (positive or negative) and makes you comfortable to do so. She also spends time with you to make sure everything is how you desire it before you leave. I knew after the trial that I had to have her there on my wedding day.

Her energy onsite on the wedding day and before my rehearsal dinner was EXACTLY what I needed. She kept me calm and focused, was on time, and my family/friends enjoyed having her there (did I mention she is hilarious?). In addition to Mar - Carlie, Christy, Karina and Sasha were onsite handling the moms, sisters, aunts, bridesmaids, etc. Whether the person was 16 or 70, they could do it all and made everyone look gorgeous. They were all kind, incredibly professional, and SO easy to work with. The day was PACKED with appointments and they never skipped a beat.

Everyone at my wedding had a great experience...and we looked damn good too!!!!

MAR and her team are amazing and extremely talented! I was fortunate enough to have Mar do my makeup and hair for my engagement session and wedding day! She was so much fun, but also professional and did a flawless job on both my hair and makeup. Before I booked Mar and her team, I actually did a LOT of research on how I wanted my makeup/hair to look and the photos I kept coming back to actually all belonged to Mar and her team. It was a no brainer that I had to have Mar and TEAM on my wedding day. I love that their mantra is less is more, because who wants to be a caked up looking bride? They don't try to change how you look, but instead enhance your features in the best way. They also make their own foundation formula so your skin looks natural, but the coverage is insane!

For my engagement session, I showed Mar a few pictures of what I liked and from there she worked her magic on me. It was so effortless. All my girlfriends, my fiancé (Now husband), and even my tiger mom thought my makeup/hair looked stunning. For my wedding makeup/hair trial, I was actually really indecisive on how I wanted to look. Mar created so many looks I loved (Hair all down, hair in a low messy bun, a clean high bun etc.), which made it difficult to choose, but Mar took her time with me and helped me make all the right decisions by reading my body language and facial expressions. Can we say... DETAILED? This girl knows her sh*t.

On the wedding day, Mar and her team arrived early and the wedding morning just felt like girls getting glammed up and having fun. I loved that Mar was really patient with my mom and helped her feel pampered and beautiful. My mom is not an easy woman to please and she loved her hair and makeup. My girls looked absolutely stunning and everyone kept complimenting us. Mar was just so fun and had a calming aura about her, and this was absolutely priceless to me. If you're lucky enough that Mar and her team are available on your engagement/wedding day (Since they travel worldwide with amazing photographers), I would book Mar and TEAM immediately. You'll gain a new girlfriend AND she'll make your time as a bride a beautiful and memorable one.

I was married four years ago, and the impression TEAM has made on me is lasting. I worked with Mar and Nicole for my look, my bridesmaid's and my mom's, and feel hiring them was one of the best vendor selections I could have made. I am generally a very shy, quiet individual who doesn't like to be in the spotlight, so having a day where all eyes are on me was pretty daunting. Mar effortlessly gave me the old Hollywood glam look I was dreaming of for my special day, and it lasted through the night! I recall telling her I wish she could do my hair and makeup everyday, I felt so amazing. When my friends get engaged TEAM is my first recommendation as I feel every bride should be able to look in the mirror and think "oh my god, I look amazing" before walking down the aisle.

AMAZING! I was a bridesmaid in a SLO wedding and I was SO impressed with TEAM Hair & Makeup. They are not rookies and this is not their first rodeo. They rolled in with EVERYTHING (chairs, extension cords, hot tool pads, lighting, etc) they need to whip out hair and makeup for a bride and 5 bridesmaids in 4 hours. Each team member took the time to ask what we want in our look and they made it happen. All 5 of our bridesmaids have varying styles and the team made sure to not stray away from that. Mar also looked over everyone's hair and makeup before leaving and did a few touch ups to ensure we all looked immaculate. The team was so easy to be around and we enjoyed their company as we got ready for our bride's big day. You will not be disappointed working with Team Hair and Makeup.

If you are getting married in the greater Santa Barbara area, or anywhere really, TEAM is the way to go. I hired TEAM for my wedding in 2019 and I was so happy with them from start to finish. I felt so beautiful on my wedding day, but I also felt like myself. The airbrush makeup they use looks flawless and lasts all day and night. In addition to using them for our wedding, I've had my hair and makeup done by them around 5 other times for friends' weddings, and have truly loved it every time. Seriously, do not book anyone else! Mar and her TEAM are extremely talented, professional, and fun. I can't recommend them enough!

My wedding was this past weekend and Team Hair and Makeup killed it! Marley did my hair and Karina did my makeup and I have never felt more beautiful. It lasted and looked great all day long even through my very aggressive dance floor moves. The whole team was lovely and calming and my bridesmaids and moms loved their looks as well. Thank you, Mar for making organizing everything so easy and for bringing together such a talented team of stylists. It was a delight to work with you all!
