Love Story

Their story began in the most modern yet serendipitous way. "We met online, and after our first date we found out we had lived across the hall from each other at our apartment a few years back, but our paths never crossed," they shared. The universe had been trying to bring them together all along, and when it finally happened in the summer of 2019, their connection was undeniable.

That future became crystal clear on Christmas morning when Kyle surprised Lindsey with a proposal. "Although we had discussed marriage and a future together many times the actual proposal was very much a surprise," Lindsey recalls.

About Your Wedding

The journey from engagement to "I do" involved 15 months of careful planning for this Ohio couple. As they envisioned their perfect day, intimacy and meaningful experiences topped their priority list.

"Something small with only close family and friends, and a beautiful location in a destination on both of our bucket lists to visit," Lindsey explains, her eyes lighting up as she describes their vision. "Italy was on both of our lists of places to visit, after researching destination weddings we found our wedding planner and never looked back!"

This wasn't just any destination wedding—it was a thoughtfully curated experience in one of the world's most romantic settings. "Our wedding was everything we dreamed of—natural, romantic, and full of Tuscan charm," Kyle adds, glancing affectionately at his bride. The couple worked closely with their planner to ensure every element reflected not just their personal style, but also honored the natural beauty of their surroundings.

When asked what inspired them most during the preparation, they respond in unison with infectious enthusiasm: "How gorgeous our venue was!!" This admiration for their stunning location guided many of their decisions, from the color palette to the overall flow of their celebration.

Though their wedding day itself was picture-perfect, Lindsey treasures an unexpected moment from their celebration weekend. "Every second of our wedding was more perfect than we could have imagined,” they add.

Ceremony

The ceremony took place in a setting that seemed plucked from a fairytale. "Our ceremony took place in the beautiful Lands of San Galgano, right by the peaceful little lake surrounded by rolling green hills. It felt like something out of a dream! We stood in front of a beautiful arch covered in greenery and white flowers, with the water shimmering behind us. Our guests sat on delicate wrought-iron chairs, some holding white parasols to shield themselves from the sun. The whole setting was so natural and romantic—the soft breeze, the golden sunlight, and the quiet beauty of Tuscany made the moment feel even more special. It was exactly how we imagined it—simple, intimate, and full of love."

As Lindsey walked down the aisle to Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling in Love," there wasn't a dry eye to be found. When asked about special moments from the ceremony, Kyle's response was heartfelt: "Literally everything. It was an amazing experience."

Photoshoot After The Ceremony

After exchanging vows, the newlyweds took full advantage of their breathtaking surroundings for their wedding portraits. "Our venue had some beautiful scenic opportunities for photos by the water where our ceremony was held. We also had a beautiful historic Abbey on the property that we took advantage of getting photos taken in and around."

The resulting photographs were nothing short of spectacular. "The photos speak for themselves, they were amazing to work with! I still catch myself looking through our photos and am still in awe at how they were able to capture how beautiful and special that day was. The photos make me feel like I am reliving that day over and over and I could not have been happier with their work," the bride reflects.

Wedding Venue & Decor

The couple chose a timeless color palette of "neutrals with white florals and linens with touches of greenery"—a perfect complement to the natural beauty of Tuscany. "When looking for a wedding planner, we found Josephine and she has several venues she works with and highly recommended our venue for the small destination wedding we had envisioned," they share.

The reception embodied rustic-chic elegance. "Afterward, we had our portraits taken at San Galgano Abbey, an incredible medieval ruin with open skies above us. It was surreal to stand among its ancient stone walls, and the setting made our photos truly unforgettable. Our reception had a rustic-chic feel, with long wooden tables, soft ivory runners, candlelight, and delicate white flowers. We wanted our guests to experience real Tuscany—amazing food, local wine, and live acoustic music under the evening sky. It was more than just a wedding; it was a celebration of love, nature, and everything we love about Italy."

The couple shared their first dance to "Logan Mize – What I love about you," swaying together as their loved ones looked on.
