Of the three venues presented, their hearts were instantly captured by Oltre il Giardino—a hidden Provençal-style loft bathed in light and nestled beside a lush garden along the ancient Appia Antica. It was love at first sight.

Rather than following a traditional theme, the wedding’s aesthetic blossomed from inspiration as personal as it was poetic. The church ceremony evoked a sense of ethereal serenity, with an atmosphere of lightness and purity that mirrored the sacredness of their vows. Later, the reception unfolded in warm, intimate tones inspired by Alessia’s favorite lipstick—a rich leatherette shade that became the soul of the entire color palette, a subtle and sensual symbol of her personality woven into every detail.

In a charming and thoughtful gesture, Alessia and Alessio created custom pins for their 110 guests, offering not just a dress code but an invitation to fully immerse in the mood and magic of the day. Every detail was a reflection of their love story—intimate, unique, and wrapped in romance.

Morning Details

The morning of April 20, 2024, unfolded with a gentle sense of anticipation, the air tinged with excitement and love. Every element of the day had been thoughtfully curated, each detail chosen with heartfelt intention. From the beautifully designed invitations dreamed up by Sara Tusset Wedding and brought to life by Eventi ad Arte, to the delicate stationery that gracefully guided guests through the unfolding moments—it all whispered the beginning of something unforgettable.

Bride Getting Ready

The bride's preparation took place at the charming Villa San Pio hotel,where Alessia was joined by her mother for this precious time. The mood was intimate and emotional, filled with tender moments between mother and daughter.

Alessia's dress selection was almost destined—a stunning Pronovias gown that she discovered at their Rome boutique. "The choice of dress was instinctive," she says, her face lighting up at the memory. She completed her bridal look with a delicate veil and elegant shoes, creating a timeless silhouette that still felt uniquely her. Her bouquet, crafted by the talented team at Ella Fleur, perfectly complemented the day's aesthetic.

Her bridesmaids arrived in coordinated palette-colored attire, each wearing custom-created denim jackets that added a contemporary twist to the traditional bridal party.

Ceremony

The ceremony took place in the breathtaking Basilica of Santa Sabina all'Aventino, perched on one of Rome's most exclusive hills with panoramic views of the eternal city stretching out below. As "Inception" played, Alessia made her way down the aisle, surrounded by stunning floral arrangements created by Ella Fleur. "The first look took place in the Church when Alessio looked at me - everything came to life!" Alessia shares.

One particularly poignant moment during the ceremony was when the couple lit a candle in memory of Alessia's father. The ceremony perfectly balanced solemnity with joy, creating a sacred space for their commitment while celebrating the happiness of their union.

After saying their vows, Alessia and Alessio headed to Oltre il Giardino, a charming spot along the historic Appia Antica, for their first portraits as a married couple. The venue’s beauty—its lush gardens and graceful architecture—set the perfect scene for their intimate moments together. Capturing their effortless connection, Elisa Rinaldi’s lens froze these quiet, yet deeply emotional, memories of the couple’s love.

Wedding Venue & Decor

The décor of the day beautifully mirrored two distinct yet complementary moods: the soft purity of white for the church ceremony, a reflection of the vows they were about to make, and the bold, vibrant fuchsia and orange for the reception, inspired by Alessia’s favorite lipstick. Every detail at Oltre il Giardino had been thoughtfully designed, from the personalized "A2" drink—named for Alessia and Alessio—to the custom napkins, place cards, and even the specially crafted perfumes for their guests. The dress code pins given to attendees added a personal touch, making everyone feel like a part of the carefully crafted celebration. "Our wedding planner Sara Tusset selected the best location for us," Alessia shares.

Reception

The reception at Oltre il Giardino was a celebration of love and creativity. The couple chose "Senza di te" by Zibba for their first dance, swaying together as their guests watched with misty eyes.

Rather than a traditional dinner, the couple opted for a unique "tea time wedding" concept, featuring cakes prepared with show cooking to create a magical and sweet atmosphere. The wedding cake, crafted by the talented Annikka Toni, was both a visual masterpiece and a delicious conclusion to the culinary experience. As the night progressed, Ines Boomboom kept the energy high with perfectly selected music that had everyone on the dance floor until the early hours of the morning.

Reflecting on the entire experience, Alessia can't help but express her gratitude for the team that brought their vision to life.
