"The aesthetic was intentional storytelling through décor, design, and emotion," Komal reflects. "The process became about honoring both sides while adding our own creative touches — from custom signage and signature cocktails named after our dog Baloo to our Vogue-inspired photo booth. Inspiration came from everywhere: travel, fashion, and even our own love story — but ultimately, it was about creating an experience that felt like ‘us.’"

And the moment that will stay with them forever? "The fireworks at the Sangeet—without question," Komal says with absolute certainty. "Right as “Jai Ho” began playing, the fireworks erupted over the ocean, completely surprising everyone. Audwin and I started dancing under the lights while our families and friends cheered around us. It felt electric — pure joy, celebration, and love all at once — the perfect symbol of what the entire weekend meant to us."

Morning Details

Every detail of this wedding told a story, starting with the invitations that arrived in guests' hands months before. "Our invitations were designed by Events by Glitterati, who brought our vision to life with a floral and tropical design that perfectly set the tone for a destination celebration. The colors and motifs reflected the lush landscapes of Cabo and the joyful energy of our multicultural wedding — sophisticated yet full of life," Komal shares.

The wedding rings held their own special significance. "We chose our rings together, wanting them to symbolize both our personal styles and our shared values," Komal explains. Her Vera Wang diamond band was designed to complement her engagement ring, which features sapphires on each side—gemstones symbolizing loyalty, wisdom, and everlasting love. Audwin's choice? A Cartier Love band in white gold, "chosen for its timeless simplicity and the deeper meaning behind the design—a symbol of enduring commitment and unity."

But the jewelry didn't stop there. "Every piece I wore was meaningful," Komal notes. During the Hindu wedding ceremony, she wore a mangalsutra—a sacred gold and diamond necklace that Audwin tied around her neck, symbolizing their eternal bond, love, and devotion. For the American ceremony, she chose a real diamond necklace with matching studs, "a timeless and elegant set that complemented the classic aesthetic of the day."

The stationery package was equally thoughtful. Custom signage, event outlines, and detailed itineraries were designed by planner Val Del Olmo and her team at JC Castillo Weddings. "They beautifully translated our vision into cohesive pieces that guided guests through the weekend’s celebrations, blending tropical motifs and elegant typography for a polished yet lively destination feel."

Bride Getting Ready

For a bride who loves fashion as much as Komal does, getting ready was about more than just putting on a dress—it was about creating moments of art.

"I had my getting-ready photoshoot in my bridal suite, filled with soft tropical light and surrounded by my bridesmaids and family," she remembers. "It was the perfect space to capture those quiet, emotional moments before the day unfolded."

Her wedding looks were nothing short of spectacular. For the Indian wedding, Komal wore a custom-designed gown that took months to create. "I envisioned something bold yet feminine—an ombré pink masterpiece weighing nearly 20 pounds, rich with intricate embellishments that shimmered under the Cabo sun," she describes. "I knew from the start that I wanted a dramatic, long veil, and it became the perfect finishing touch to the look." The gown, valued around $5,000 USD and custom-made in India, was everything she dreamed of—"regal, radiant, and one of a kind."

For the American ceremony, she chose elegance and simplicity. "I wore a gown from David's Bridal. I knew I wanted something elegant, simple, and timeless—a dress that embodied effortless beauty." A beautiful white veil adorned with delicate florals completed the look, "perfectly complementing our garden setting and adding a romantic, ethereal touch."

The accessories were equally thoughtful. "I've always loved fashion, so each bridal look had its own statement accessories," Komal explains. For the Hindu wedding, she chose gold Stuart Weitzman heels to match her pink ombré lehenga. The American ceremony featured white Jimmy Choo heels with a matching white purse and Fendi bridal sunglasses "for a modern, chic touch." And for the reception? Bronze-gold Jimmy Choo heels that perfectly matched their "Glam & Boujee" theme.

Her bouquets, created by House of Castillo, were equally stunning. "I've always loved hydrangeas, so they were featured throughout," she shares. The American wedding featured soft white blooms with touches of blue, while the Indian wedding incorporated different shades of pink, mirroring the ombré tones of her lehenga.

The bridesmaids weren't left out of the creative vision either. "The bridesmaid dresses were custom-designed by me," Komal reveals. "I envisioned mint green gowns with hot pink floral embroidery to subtly complement my own look. The colors were fresh, fun, and vibrant—perfectly embodying the joyful, coastal energy of our wedding weekend."

Groom Getting Ready

Audwin's style throughout the weekend was nothing short of impeccable, with each look thoughtfully chosen to complement the tone of every celebration.

For the American wedding, "Audwin wore a custom tan linen suit by Lalit Laungani, Bespoke Menswear for the Modern Gentlemen, perfectly suited to the coastal setting." The first look took place on the balcony of the bridal suite, with the Cabo landscape stretching endlessly behind them. When Audwin saw Komal for the first time, he was completely speechless—and teary. "It was one of those moments where everything else faded away," Komal shares. "Seeing me walk toward him, after all the anticipation and planning, made it all feel real. He later said he felt an overwhelming rush of love and gratitude—just pure awe that this was the moment we had been waiting for."

For Komal, the moment was equally powerful. "I remember feeling so much love, excitement, and emotion all at once. It was surreal—like time had slowed down," she reflects. "After months of planning and dreaming, locking eyes with Audwin made everything fall into place. I wasn't thinking about the details anymore; I was just completely present, soaking in the joy and love of that moment."

Ceremony

This wasn't one ceremony—it was two deeply meaningful celebrations, each honoring a different aspect of their heritage and love story.

The intimate American wedding ceremony took place at Coda Garden, surrounded by lush greenery and soft florals. "It was a small, family-only celebration," Komal shares. "There was something incredibly meaningful about sharing such an important moment with just our immediate family—no distractions, no noise, just love." She walked down the aisle to "XO" by John Mayer, wearing her classic white gown with a floral veil. Her sweet nieces, Alisha and Nikki, preceded her as flower girls, "bringing so much joy and sweetness to the ceremony."

"The simplicity of the setting, the emotion in everyone's eyes, and the calm joy that filled the air made it feel deeply personal and grounding," Komal remembers. "It was quiet, heartfelt, and exactly what we wanted—a beautiful reflection of where our journey together began."

The Hindu wedding ceremony on the beachfront was a completely different energy—vibrant, traditional, and breathtaking. Komal walked down the aisle to "Tum Hi Ho" by Arijit Singh, her nearly 20-pound ombré pink lehenga shimmering in the sunlight.

Traditional rituals filled the ceremony with meaning. They began with Ganesh Puja to seek blessings for an auspicious start, followed by Jaimala—the exchange of floral garlands symbolizing mutual respect and acceptance. The Saptapadi, or seven sacred steps around the fire, represented their vows of love, trust, and lifelong partnership. "One of the most meaningful moments was the Mangalsutra ceremony, when Audwin tied a sacred gold and diamond necklace around my neck—symbolizing our eternal bond and unity as husband and wife," Komal shares.

They also embraced the playful tradition of Joota Chupai, where the bride's sisters and cousins steal the groom's shoes during the ceremony and demand a ransom for their return. "It was filled with laughter and joy, perfectly reflecting the lighthearted spirit of our families."

But the moment that will stay with Komal forever? "When the sun suddenly came out as we began our aisle walk as a married couple," she says, her voice full of wonder. "The entire ceremony had taken place under slightly overcast skies, and just as we completed the rituals and began walking together, the clouds parted and golden light poured over us. It felt like a blessing—a beautiful, almost cinematic turn of events that made the moment even more powerful. Surrounded by our loved ones and the sound of the waves, it was pure magic — the perfect symbol of warmth, hope, and new beginnings."

Photoshoot After The Ceremony

With the ceremonies complete and emotions at their peak, it was time to capture the magic while it was still fresh. "Both photoshoots after our ceremonies were incredibly special—they allowed us to slow down, soak in the moment, and capture memories that reflected the beauty and emotion of the day," Komal reflects.

For the Indian wedding, they wanted to highlight the stunning details of both the setting and their looks. "We did a photoshoot with the classic vintage car, which added a timeless, cinematic touch to the images—it felt like something straight out of a film," she shares. They also took portraits at the mandap once guests had cleared, capturing its full beauty against the ocean backdrop. "Those quiet, post-ceremony moments were some of my favorites—just the two of us, surrounded by the florals, sea breeze, and the lingering magic of the rituals."

For the American wedding, the beach was the obvious choice. "The ocean light and soft waves created the most romantic, effortless atmosphere. It felt calm and intimate—the perfect contrast to the excitement of the celebrations ahead," Komal says. "The photos from that session truly captured the essence of our destination wedding—natural, timeless, and filled with love."

Wedding Venue & Decor

Choosing the venue was about finding a place that held both beauty and meaning—and Hard Rock Hotel Los Cabos delivered on every front. "I had always dreamed of a beach destination wedding—something vibrant, romantic, and surrounded by ocean views," Komal explains. "Cabo San Lucas has always held a special place in both of our hearts; it's a destination we visit every year together, and it felt only fitting to begin our marriage in a place that already carried so many of our happiest memories."

After touring multiple resorts, the decision became clear. "The moment we stepped onto the grounds of the Hard Rock Hotel Los Cabos, we knew it was the one. The ambiance was electric yet elegant—exactly the balance we wanted." The Las Vegas connection added another layer of symbolism—"like a bridge between our home and our favorite getaway." Beyond beauty, practicality mattered. "It offered a private beachfront setting, the capacity to host over 200 guests, and the flexibility to serve authentic Indian cuisine, which was so important to us and our families."

The Hindu wedding ceremony on the beachfront blended tradition with nature. "The mandap featured lush pink and mint green florals, accented with tropical leaves that swayed with the ocean breeze. It felt both sacred and fresh—a traditional Indian ceremony reimagined in paradise." And the reception in Harmony Ballroom? "The theme was 'Glam & Boujee'—a night dripping in gold, champagne tones, and candlelight. The décor exuded timeless elegance with a modern edge: crystal accents, mirrored details, and an atmosphere of pure celebration."

Personal touches were everywhere. For the American ceremony, they added personalized Titleist golf balls with their initials—"a playful touch inspired by Audwin's love for golf." Welcome bags featured custom chapsticks, sunscreen, and hangover kits in seashell pouches with their wedding hashtag #AudWinsKom.

The Haldi brought personalized candles and custom jhumkas (traditional Indian earrings). The Sangeet featured boxed bangles and custom Coca-Cola bottles labeled "Share a Coke with Komal & Audwin." For the Hindu ceremony, guests received fresh coconuts engraved with K&A, filled with coconut water.

And at the reception? "Our cocktail napkins featured a sketch of our dog Baloo, who was our 'signature' guest throughout the weekend. Each guest also received a return gift from Episode (India)—real silver candle holders engraved with our names and wedding date. It was our way of saying thank you with something timeless and meaningful."

Reception

The grand finale was everything they hoped for and more—a "Glam & Boujee" celebration that sparkled, shimmered, and left everyone breathless.

For their first dance, Komal and Audwin swayed to "Can't Help Falling In Love" by Haley Reinhart, a moment of pure romance amid all the glamour. But this wasn't just about the dancing—it was about celebration in every form. The Filipino money dance brought joyful energy to the floor, with guests pinning bills to their outfits as they danced together. "It was one of the most joyful moments of the night, beautifully blending both sides of our heritage.."

The food was a journey in itself. Throughout the multi-day celebration, guests experienced a truly global culinary adventure. The American wedding featured a Mediterranean-inspired menu. The welcome dinner showcased festive Mexican cuisine. The Haldi brought traditional Indian street food and a lively mimosa bar. The Sangeet offered an indulgent blend of Mexican and Indian dishes—"lamb chops, freshly made jalebi, and our signature dessert, churros."

Cocktail hour featured signature drinks with personality: Baloo's Berry Smash (named after their beloved pup), Koko Lycheetini (Lychee Martini), and Aud Fashioned (Old Fashioned)—"each drink reflecting our unique personality and story."

The reception dinner was elevated and elegant—traditional Indian cuisine alongside live pasta and sushi stations, "blending comfort and sophistication to close out the celebration in style."

The wedding cake, created by Hard Rock Los Cabos, was a work of art. "A vanilla base with strawberry filling, wrapped in a striking black marble design with gold accents—a stunning nod to our 'Glam & Boujee' reception theme."
