Dominik, the creative force behind Gentlemen Productions, is a wedding photographer and videographer who has been capturing love stories for over six years. What started as an exploration of different photography genres eventually became a full-fledged passion for weddings. "I never imagined that the wedding industry would draw me in so much," Dominik admits with a warm smile. Today, his name is synonymous with an effortless blend of elegance, natural emotions, and a timeless style that resonates with couples in Poland and beyond.
For Dominik, photographing weddings is not just about getting the perfect shot—it's about building a relationship with the couple. "I do not treat my clients as business partners or models," he explains. " I want to get to know them and make them feel in my company as if they were with a good friend. On the day of their wedding and before it they can count on my support." From the first meeting through to the big day, Dominik's goal is to create a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere where his clients can be themselves.
"I make sure that they feel relaxed and can enjoy the day one hundred percent," he says. This approach means that by the time the wedding arrives, the couple feels entirely at ease in front of the camera, making for genuine, emotional photos.
Dominik takes pride in these real moments. "I definitely focus on natural emotions. I only make sure that the right atmosphere allows my clients to release them. I often work from a hidden place. Sometimes they don't even know that I am taking pictures of them at a given moment," he adds with a laugh.
His secret? Letting the day unfold naturally. Whether it’s the laughter of the bridal party, a stolen glance between the couple, or a quiet moment before the ceremony, Dominik is always on the lookout for these small but powerful moments. "I like observing human emotions the most and capturing these moments in photographs."
Dominik describes his style as "timeless photography with a touch of fashion." His work often evokes a sense of nostalgia, especially in his love for black-and-white compositions. "I am very inspired by the documentary style presented in a cinematic way," he says.
“I don't have a favorite style of wedding. I enjoy every variety and uniqueness of weddings. I am a fan of analog-style photos and videos. I love the subtlety and elegance of black-and-white compositions that take us back to another time while maintaining their timelessness. Elements of reporter style are also important to me, adding authenticity to the photos and films,” he explains, highlighting the way he combines the elegance of traditional wedding photography with the unfiltered realism of a reportage style.
Dominik’s technical approach mirrors his artistic philosophy. Working primarily with Sony equipment—he favors the Sony A7IV—Dominik values reliability and precision. "I am also a fan of paparazzi-style photos so I always have a flash with me," he notes. This readiness allows him to capture those energetic, fast-paced moments while maintaining the high quality of his work.
Though he favors a minimalist approach, he makes sure that every image reflects the couple’s unique story. “I believe in the principle of less is more,” he believes, “I try to make the post-processing rather delicate. Of course, I love B&W photos so I have to restrain myself so that not all photos are like that.” His editing enhances, rather than overpowers, the original image. The result is a gallery of wedding photos that feels authentic and timeless, with just the right amount of polish.
With around 30 weddings per year, Dominik strikes a balance between maintaining high-quality work and providing personalized attention to each couple. He typically offers 10 to 12 hours of coverage per wedding, but he’s always open to tailoring packages to meet his clients’ specific needs.
Though based in Poland, Dominik has a passion for destination weddings. "I'm a fan of weddings in Italy, but the world is beautiful so I'm not closed to any corner," he shares. His approach to destination weddings is just as personal as his local work, ensuring that the couple’s unique vision is brought to life, no matter the location.
When asked for advice on how clients can best prepare for their photo shoot or event, Dominik keeps it simple: "Trust your photographer and have fun." His philosophy revolves around building a relationship of trust so that by the time the big day arrives, the couple can fully immerse themselves in the experience without worrying about the camera.
