Bring Me Somewhere Nice is the creative photography endeavor of Dani Rodriguez, an editorial and wedding photographer based in Berlin. With a career spanning over two decades, Dani brings a unique blend of minimalist elegance and refined sophistication to every event he captures. His work extends beyond borders, having spent the last 10 years photographing weddings internationally, with a particular love for destinations like Italy’s Lake Como and the French Riviera.
Rodriguez’s approach to photography is grounded in simplicity and authenticity, allowing each image to tell a story on its own. "I try to leave my images as natural as possible," he shares, reflecting on his editing process. His use of black-and-white photography further enhances the emotions in his work, bringing a sense of timelessness to the moments he captures.
When asked about his style, Dani is quick to describe it as “editorial, minimalist, sophisticated.” He avoids the overly staged or exaggerated approach that can sometimes define wedding photography, opting instead for clean, understated compositions that focus on genuine emotions. "Being witness of so many beautiful moments, creating something special for my couples," is what fuels his passion, he explains.
What sets Bring Me Somewhere Nice apart from other photography companies is Dani’s commitment to building strong relationships with his clients. "I meet them and we talk in advance about the whole process," he says. This meeting is an integral part of his work as it allows him to understand the couple’s vision and expectations for their wedding day.
Dani is not just a photographer capturing images; he is a storyteller, carefully crafting a narrative that resonates with the couple. His calm and thoughtful demeanor helps his clients feel at ease, ensuring that their personalities shine through in every photo.
Bring Me Somewhere Nice is known for its bespoke wedding photography packages, tailored to meet the unique needs of every couple. Speaking on the price, Dani says "that it will depend on many differnet factors, second shooter or not, the destination, the time of the year." For Dani, customization is key. He works closely with his couples to create a package that suits their specific needs.
Typically, Dani offers 10 hours of coverage on a wedding day, ensuring that he captures every meaningful moment, from the morning preparations to the evening celebrations.
However, there is one piece of advice Dani gives to all his clients: "Plan more time for every act." He explains that wedding days often get rushed, with couples scrambling to fit everything in. "at 95% of my weddings we need to do everything on a rush, and it is a pity after so much preparation," he shares. By planning a bit more time for each event, couples can avoid feeling stressed and instead, savor each moment.
Dani takes on only a limited number of weddings each year—typically around 10 to 12. This intentional limitation allows him to give each couple the attention they deserve, offering a truly personal experience.
