There are photographers who document weddings, and then there are photographers who translate emotion into something that feels eternal. Stefano Roscetti stands firmly in the second category. Raised inside his family’s photography studio in Rome, he grew up surrounded by film rolls, prints, and the quiet rhythm of stories being preserved. Today, after two decades in the industry, he is known for a luminous, timeless style that blends elegance with authenticity — the kind of work couples feel deeply connected to.

We sat down with Stefano to explore his journey, his creative process, and the passion that continues to shape his craft.

A Heritage That Became a Calling

“I’m Stefano Roscetti, born and raised in Rome, and photography has been part of my life from the very beginning. My family owned a wedding photography studio, and I started working with them when I was 17. Over time, I felt the need to evolve beyond the traditional style of that era, shaping my own identity with a more modern, refined and international vision.”

His early years gave him technical discipline; the years that followed gave him artistic clarity.

“Today, I work with couples from all over the world, documenting weddings in Italy and abroad with a luminous, timeless aesthetic and a strong attention to detail. My goal is to create images that truly last, photographs that capture authentic emotions with elegance and contemporary style.”

Two Decades of Dedication

How long have you been engaged in the wedding industry?

20 years.

Twenty years of evolving tastes, shifting trends, cultural change — yet his work remains anchored in luminous elegance and sincere storytelling.

A Style Cultivated Through Influence and Intuition

“My style is a mix of influences I’ve developed over the years. It blends elegance, thoughtful direction, aesthetic refinement and the authenticity of spontaneous moments. It is luminous and timeless, and it comes from the desire to create images that truly stand out, curated yet sincere, where aesthetics and spontaneity coexist in perfect harmony.”

The balance he describes — refined yet unforced — is the essence of his creative identity.

Tools That Adapt to Every Wedding Story

“I primarily use the latest-generation Nikon mirrorless cameras, specifically two Nikon Z8 bodies, combined with a selection of professional lenses, continuous lights and flashes. I have everything I need to ensure quality and versatility in any situation.”

Stefano’s toolbox is intentionally curated, supporting a workflow where technical precision elevates emotion rather than overshadowing it.

The Art of Editing: Where Emotion Meets Aesthetic

What kind of post-processing do you typically do on your images?

“It’s a part of the process I take extreme care with. Post-processing is detailed and time-consuming, involving multiple steps and different editing programs working together. I believe that editing is an art form in itself, one that goes hand in hand with photography and plays a key role in shaping the final aesthetic of my images.”

For Stefano, editing is not a correction — it is an extension of vision.

A Love for People, Stories, and Truth

“I love my work because I’m a naturally curious person and I’m fascinated by the idea of telling other people’s stories. Photography allows me to capture people in their most authentic form and to turn their emotions into something that lasts.”

And when it comes to weddings, that fascination evolves into something deeper:

“In weddings this becomes even more evident: moments of joy, connection and intimacy that deserve to be preserved. Being chosen to document the most important day of a couple’s life is a privilege I truly cherish.”

Building Trust, Crafting Comfort

I like to build a relationship based on trust, because when a couple feels comfortable, they can express themselves authentically, and that authenticity comes through in the images.

Stefano believes that most couples choose him because they already resonate with his style — which creates a natural harmony.

“Most couples choose me because they already connect with the style of photography I offer, so they rarely make very specific requests. My goal is to bring out the best in them on their wedding day by being present, attentive and guiding them in the most natural way possible.”

He describes the wedding day as collaboration at its finest:

“A wedding day becomes a true collaboration. They need me, and I need them, and together we work toward the same purpose: turning an incredible moment in their lives into images they will treasure forever.”

Flexibility for Every Love Story

Can you work with the couple to create a custom package that meets their specific needs?

“Yes, absolutely. In addition to the options I already offer, I can create a fully customised package based on the couple’s needs, the structure of the event and their overall vision. Every wedding is unique, and the service can be shaped around what truly matters to them.”

Preparing for the Day With Intention

Do you have any recommendations or tips for clients to prepare for a photo shoot or event?

“Certainly. As I mentioned earlier, the success of a perfect photoshoot comes from the collaboration between myself and the couple. This is why I take the time to clearly explain how I will work and provide detailed guidance on how to prepare for the day. These suggestions will soon be included in a dedicated guide that I will give to all my couples.”

For Stefano, preparation is not logistics — it’s alignment.

“The conversations and exchanges we have before the wedding are essential for creating something truly meaningful for them.”

A Global Vision, Shaped by Many Landscapes

Do you do destination weddings? What is your favorite destination?

“Yes, absolutely. Destination weddings have been part of my work for many years and often take me to different locations across Italy and abroad. I don’t have one favorite destination, because every place has its own magic and offers a unique atmosphere to capture.”

His inspiration comes not from the place, but from the experience shared within it.

A Final Reflection on Trust, Connection, and the Craft

If there is something I would add, it’s the importance of trust and connection between the photographer and the couple. Photography is not only about technique or aesthetics; it is about creating an experience that allows people to feel comfortable and truly themselves. My goal is always to combine beauty, emotion and authenticity in a way that feels effortless for the couple. Every wedding is a collaboration, and the relationship we build before the day makes all the difference in creating meaningful, timeless images.
