For many artists, the journey begins with a spark. For Prakash, founder of Prakash Creation, that spark ignited in the backroom of a photography lab.
“I started as a young guy working in a photography lab and learning how to edit,” Prakash recalls. “Gradually I built up an interest in photography and videography.”
It wasn’t long before he took on wedding assignments under the wing of a seasoned mentor. The rhythm of wedding days, the emotion behind rituals, and the magic of storytelling through a lens—he was hooked.
In 2008, Prakash decided to go all in. He launched Prakash Creation, a venture rooted in curiosity, craft, and the goal of simply making ends meet. “The journey that started with the intention to pay bills and earn a livelihood slowly turned into passion.”
Two years later, Mahaveer joined him as co-founder, adding his creative flair to the vision. Together, the duo nurtured their passion into a movement—one that has grown from a two-person hustle to a team of fifteen brilliant minds.
When asked about the brand’s unique identity, the answer comes with clarity and conviction: cinematic, storytelling-driven, and modern while maintaining culture.
They don’t just shoot weddings. They sculpt narratives.
“We believe that a wedding movie holds the power to let everyone relive the wedding and freeze memories for a lifetime,” the team shares. “We believe that when a wedding movie is done right it makes all the effort to make a wedding worth it.”
This approach—rooted in emotion and elevated by intentional technique—has helped them secure 8 national and 2 international awards over the last 12 years. Their visuals have shifted from simple, crowded gatherings to luxury and destination weddings, where every moment feels like a scene from a film.
Creating high-end visual stories takes more than just vision—it takes the right gear. The Prakash Creation team uses Sony Alpha series cameras paired with block lenses to achieve their signature cinematic style.
But for them, technology is only part of the equation. It’s the human connection that brings a wedding film to life.
Prakash Creation places immense value on their relationship with each couple.
“Firstly, we work around understanding their style, requirements, and taste,” they explain. “Then we know their story and try to make a good connection with the couple and the family, which helps us in communicating better.”
By integrating themselves into the heart of the celebration, they gain access to the unscripted, joyful, real moments that matter most.
“We also try to be in the inner circle where all the fun is happening to record as many candid moments as possible.”
Their post-production process is equally intentional. With mood boards and long editing hours, each frame is sculpted to reflect the couple's unique story.
So, what keeps them going after over a decade in the business?
“Being able to capture the love stories,” they say. “Meet new and interesting people, travel to beautiful locations and explore them through our lenses, being able to dig deep in our creative minds—that challenges us to make every video differently.”
This spirit of exploration and emotional engagement has taken them far and wide—from bustling Indian cities to the stunning coastlines of Italy and Spain.
For soon-to-be-weds, Prakash Creation offers simple but powerful advice:
“Make sure you pick the right videographer and photographer because that is one thing that will remain with you. Also, understand your videographers before your wedding. Have multiple meetings to understand everything and be friends.”
Connection, trust, and vision—they consider these the cornerstones of creating something timeless.
With the growing trend of short-form social media content, Prakash Creation urges couples to not lose sight of the big picture.
“Choose your main wedding video over short-form content,” they advise. “Cinematography has a process to narrate stories and capture the essence of celebration which can never be fulfilled by short-form content made for social media.”
Their films aren’t just reels—they’re heirlooms.
The story of Prakash Creation isn’t just about wedding videography—it’s about perseverance, vision, and the belief that art made with intention stands the test of time. From the glow of firelit mandaps to sun-drenched European vistas, they continue to craft films that echo long after the wedding is over.
If you believe in wedding films that move the soul, this is the team to tell your story.
