There’s a certain kind of energy that can’t be staged — it has to be felt. That energy defines the work of Andrius Meliūnas, the creative mind behind Meliunas Films. Always in motion, always curious, Andrius approaches wedding filmmaking as a living, breathing experience shaped by people, movement, and genuine connection.
“I’m someone who thrives on movement, creativity, and connection,” he shares. “I love travel, exploring new places, and staying active through sports.”
That same rhythm carries into his films — dynamic, emotional, and deeply human.
Andrius didn’t force his way into videography — it unfolded naturally.
“As a creative person, picking up a camera and telling stories through film felt effortless and deeply fulfilling.”
What began as instinct soon evolved into a passion for wedding filmmaking. Over time, his artistic curiosity combined with a love for people, allowing him to see weddings not as events, but as living stories unfolding through energy, relationships, and atmosphere.
“Each film reflects not just the couple’s story,” he explains, “but the way I see the whole celebration — with all the people around, through movement, beauty, and genuine human connection.”
With five years of experience as a wedding videographer, Andrius has developed an approach rooted less in technique and more in presence. For him, the real starting point isn’t the camera — it’s the relationship.
“My secret ingredient is relationships,” he says. “I start with that.”
By understanding who truly matters to the couple and how they live, interact, and express themselves, he knows where to direct his attention.
Andrius doesn’t chase perfection — he looks for truth.
“I’m there for the spontaneous moments,” he says. “The couple and their friends laughing together, that look on your face when your partner’s vows leave you completely overwhelmed.”
His camera follows emotion, not choreography. He lets the couple’s way of living guide where his eyes — and lenses — should go, capturing moments that are unplanned but deeply revealing.
To support his storytelling, Andrius works with Lumix S5II and S5IIX cameras, paired with anamorphic lenses — a setup that enhances cinematic depth while preserving intimacy.
The result is imagery that feels expansive yet personal, cinematic yet grounded in reality.
What Andrius enjoys most about wedding filmmaking happens quietly, often unnoticed.
“Witnessing the quiet, unrepeatable moments that no one else notices,” he explains. “The ones that reveal who a couple truly is.”
His work is about reading between the lines — understanding how two people met, what makes them laugh, how they dream together — and translating that into a film that feels unmistakably them.
“That’s storytelling,” he says. “And that job drives me.”
Every collaboration begins with conversation.
“I like to start by getting to know them — not just their wedding plans, but their personalities.”
Andrius asks about how they met, what moments matter most, the music they love, their hobbies, and the atmosphere they imagine for their day. These details help him weave everything into a cohesive cinematic narrative.
“This helps me piece everything together into a full wedding film.”
His advice to engaged couples is refreshingly uncomplicated.
“Be yourself and enjoy every moment of your wedding day.”
Presence, he believes, is the most powerful ingredient in any meaningful film.
Looking back to the beginning of his career, Andrius keeps his advice concise and honest.
For him, growth comes from movement — forward, always.
Andrius films destination weddings and embraces the unpredictability of travel.
“At the moment, my favourite destination is Italy,” he says. “But you never know which country is going to be next.”
That openness mirrors his approach to filmmaking — curious, adaptable, and always ready for the next story.
