Some careers are planned; others unfold naturally, driven by passion and instinct. Stas Lysak's path belongs to the second category.
That love shows in every frame he films—the compositions, the rhythm, the light. His approach is rooted in elegance, guided by a cinematic sensibility that runs deep.
When asked how long he’s been dedicated to weddings specifically, he laughs gently: “Over 8 years.”
Every videographer has a visual identity, but Stas’s is unmistakable.
When asked to describe his style, he answers simply, yet confidently:
“Cinematic style and elegance.”
It’s a perfect summary. His films feel more like scenes from a beautifully crafted movie than traditional wedding videos. They breathe, they unfold slowly, they capture real emotion without forcing it.
Behind every seamless film is equipment chosen with intention.
At the moment, Stas relies on:
Sony FX3
DJI 5 Mini Pro
Sigma 24–70 f/2.8
Sony Zeiss 55 f/1.8
Viltrox 16mm f/1.8
The gear is modern and versatile, but Stas is quick to point out that it’s only one part of the craft. Connection, trust, and emotion always come first.
For Stas, weddings aren’t only events—they are emotional milestones he feels honored to witness.
“It’s about being part of the happiest moments of my clients’ lives, being at the heart of positivity and love, and capturing it all through the lens of my camera.”
This sentiment guides everything he does. Whether it’s a luxury celebration in Italy or an intimate gathering in Norway, Stas films with deep respect for the couple’s story.
One of Stas’s greatest strengths is his ability to make couples feel at ease.
“I try to build a warm connection so that my clients feel relaxed and comfortable during the shoot,” he explains. “I always give compliments and try to catch their vibe.”
This approach results in genuine moments—soft smiles, tender gestures, unguarded emotions.
When asked to share a tip for those preparing for their wedding, Stas keeps it grounded and honest:
“Yes, usually it’s best to trust your big day to professionals and simply relax — both before and on the wedding day itself.”
It’s the kind of advice that sounds simple yet changes everything.
If he could go back to the beginning of his career, what would he tell himself?
“Definitely, I would advise my younger self to start by learning from the best in the videography field and to invest money first in knowledge and connections — and only then in equipment. At first, I’d copy the best, and later develop my own unique style.”
It’s thoughtful, humble, and wise—qualities that also define his work.
Even though Stas lives in Norway, a country he calls “one of the most beautiful in the world,” his work often takes him thousands of kilometers away.
“There are two airports here, so traveling around Europe and the world is very convenient. I mostly work in Italy and France.”
Perhaps that’s part of the magic—Stas carries the calm atmosphere of Norway with him, bringing a sense of quiet beauty to the most vibrant destinations.
Before ending our conversation, Stas adds a message filled with gratitude and hope:
