Since founding Bernat Films in 2021, he’s devoted himself to translating emotions into film. “Filmmaking is my passion,” he says simply. “When creating wedding films, I love experiencing the emotions that surround me and meeting wonderful people.”

Mateusz works with Sony a7sIII, DJI Mini 4 Pro, and Sony GM lenses—a setup that enables him to move freely, observe, and craft seamless visual stories with depth and movement. For him, equipment is a means to an end: to create films that make couples feel.
Mateusz’s process is grounded in connection. “I approach each couple with a very nuanced approach. I strive to get to know them, understand what's truly important to them, and then translate that into imagery,” he explains. This tailored approach ensures that every film is not only technically beautiful but emotionally accurate.
His focus is on recreating the essence of the day—the laughter, tears, energy, and stillness that define each wedding. “I want to recreate their story, their emotions, and that day, which will never be repeated,” he adds. For Mateusz, it’s not about staging—it’s about feeling.
While his main medium is film, Mateusz believes in the harmony between all forms of visual art. “Yes, I always recommend a photographer to my couples if they haven't made their choice yet,” he says. “My wife takes beautiful photos with a similar aesthetic to mine.” Together, they form a creative duo that ensures couples receive a unified visual experience—seamless from film to photography.
Mateusz often assists couples beyond the lens as well, suggesting thoughtful touches and wedding enhancements. “I also sometimes advise couples on additional attractions to complement their wedding in a beautiful way,” he shares, showcasing his deep appreciation for the overall wedding experience.
Looking back on his journey, Mateusz has a message for those beginning their creative careers: “Don't be afraid to show off your style. Don't copy trends—be inspired, but create your own. Your sensitivity and aesthetic will become your signature.”
That advice is more than a mantra—it’s visible in every frame he captures. His films are personal interpretations of beauty, guided by intuition, not imitation.
Travel is another element that fuels Mateusz’s creativity. “I love traveling, meeting wonderful people, and creating unique love stories,” he says. Destination weddings allow him to combine his love for aesthetics with new cultural and natural backdrops. Among his favorite experiences are outdoor celebrations at Mała Wieś Palace and Villa Love in Poland—venues known for their charm, architecture, and atmosphere.
